  1. Yeh, it's a great combo 8) I'm considering maybe changing the carpet for a black one (I have one in the garage, so at least I can change it back if it doesn't work), as the grey shows up the dirt more. Had grey leather in my blackberry VR too- and that worked really well too. Think any leather interior works well in a Corrado TBH, and will always be desirable. Would never have grey cloth again though...
  2. Dunno- never made my mind up about that one. Think I'd prob go for Alien as my fav, although Aliens runs it very close. Very different though... I actually like the Director's Cut of Alien3 too. Didn't like Alien Resurection at all. Thought AvP was a lot better than the reviews said it was- an above average sci-fi action film, although it can't hold a candle to the first 2. AvP 2 was absolutely, absolutely terrible though!
  3. Finally persuaded the Mrs to watch Alien last night. 9/10- what a film!
  4. Just realised it's Chris' old car- didn't realise it was up for sale TBH. Lovely- rare colour too :)
  5. Looks stunning, Darren! Good work. Aircon is such a bonus! What's happening to that beautiful valver then?
  6. Think if I had to have them, I'd do something similarly understated to the Octavia ones- maybe in the fog recess. Worst oem ones by a mile have to be the new Range Rover ones - well and truly look like some chav has got in there with some Christmas tree lights. Cheapens the whole appearance of what should be a prestige marque :gag:
  7. Done it myself! Glad it's sorted :)
  8. Are all the brake bulbs double filament?

Defo sounds like it's stuck open/partly open. Make sure you get a gen replacement + housing/o-ring. It's worth checking the new stat in a pan of boiling water before fitment.

94 isn't high at all for the oil, Jake. Maybe worth changing it though if it hasn't been done for a while. Change the housing too- cheap for the valver. Bloody awkward job though!
  11. Absolutely gutted for you, Paul :( As others have said, really glad you're OK- looks like it took quite a hit... Keep us all posted on the insurance developments.
  12. You and your 'details' lol :pale:
  13. Jim, I could have got you a set and posted them, tbh I wouldn't use anything else but VAG now - the quality is superb so not sure about the above comment or where it came from? I actually bought some ABF leads a few months back for a mate and they we're really well made and exactly the right lengths etc - less than £50 too! Steve, have seen the leads in question and they were absolutely shocking! Maybe it was just a bad batch, but you'd expect VW stuff to be of a consistant standard.
  14. The 16v doesn't have a MAF ;)
  15. Pretty sure you can get new flaps etc from VW, so you can just replace those rather than the whole box.
  16. You'll defo need the VR clocks. Should be able to just about do 120mph in 4th...
  17. You can also test the mounts with the handbrake on. Pop it into 1st and gently lift the clutch to biting point. You will need two people, as someone will need to watch the engine as you do this. If it moves a lot, it's the front mount. Repeat with reverse for the rear mount :)
  18. At idle it should be resting on the switch. Try moving the switch bracket closer (the two small screws next to each other in the middle of your pic). If it doesn't move enough, just bend the metal tab carefully so it engages. Easily sorted :) Also may be worth changing and adjusting your cable. A new cable is well worth it!
  19. Yup, as above. Just pull the hoses off. Carefully check it opens smoothly with a flathead screwdriver (in the side hole). Once it's cleaned with carb cleaner, spray in a little 3 in 1 or similar PTFE lube.
  20. Aye, good work as ever Drew. Glad business is going well- some amazing machinery you've worked on there!
  21. Sounds excellent. At the Pootle and Pies, we even got onto discussing doing one of these for the next CCGB National Day. Fun and totally different to the norm.
