Thanks Gareth :) Good to meet you too, and finally see your stunning car in the flesh :notworthy:

Glovebox is horrible! Went straight in once the criss-cross reinforcement plastic underneath was removed though :) I hated all the wiring :bad-words:
-
Hi Andy, Yeh, it's sooooo much better now. Am tempted to do a moonroof after seeing yours- another big improvement to the interior 8) Do you have the part numbers? What do I need exactly?
-
Lump of metal  You just need to change the bush which the end of the new cable hooks into. You may need a little fairy liquid for the rubber bush, as it's a tight fit. It's really easy, just remove the old one, swap in the new, through the bulkhead (press in the new grommet which comes already on the cable), across the scuttle and down behind the clocks to the pedal. You'll have to remove the driver's undertray to get to the pedal properly. Just look where the old one is routed and all will become clear. You may need to re-use a couple of the clips (one attaches the end to the TB, the other is used to adjust the cable) if you haven't ordered new ones. Should take around 30 mins :)

They are soooooo much better than the old ones! Really pleased with mine. Shame the ones on Ebay are so expensive!
-
Thanks to JMC for the switch blank. Arrived very quickly- before I'd even sent payment! 8)
-
Aren't they the original red beru leads though?
-
Loving that black and white picture, Gareth - looks nice and moody 8) Alas, none of mine on there though :( First time I've seen your car in the flesh- absolutely stunning mate. Have you ever entered it into any comps?
-
Pretty sure we've got this- I'll let you know tonight :)
-
Any chance you could post a bigger picture? I might have it on the 8v I'm breaking. Will be working on the car tomorrow night, so I'll get back to you then :)

The bypass valve to the matrix could be shot. Happened on mine- just replaced it with some copper piping, and it warms up a treat again 8)

Huge congratulations on winning the Superclass, Paul  The VR was immaculate as ever 8)

WOW you're serious?! I can't believe people can be like that, I would have been rolling around laughing! Why can't people just enjoy cool/unusual cars and not get so hung up on... well, being anal? :cuckoo: Yup, serious!

Come on, bud, wanna hear your thoughts. When I bought my Lude, one person on here started to be really insulting and ended up getting pretty racist- he's since been banned, despite several attempted come-backs  Most people were totally supportive though. Everyone (apart from someone who refused to park next to me!) was really complimentary about it when I took it to the Corrado Club National Day. Never had a Teg myself, but had a few quick VTECs in my time. Would be good to hear what it's like to live with. Aesthetically, the EK9 comes nowhere near the Corrado or Integra. 0-60mph it's the quickest, but no one drives like that everyday. Reckon the Corrado would be the best alrounder, and as said above the Integra best as a weekend car

Here's the p/n: V863 VAG 1418BJ I got them for £49.29 with CCGB discount, so prob around £55 without.
-
Are you a Corrado Club member? I've been getting discount for years as a club member. Only £10 to join, and I probably save well over £100 a year through parts/insurance discount :)
-
Go to the dealer, mate. Got them for my 16v, as I've just converted from grey to black ;) Wish you'd change your sig- sooooo distracting! :norty:
-
Well done, Bill 8)
-
Got myself some new black mats. The parts guy said there was only 8 left, and it was very doubtful they'd make any more, as they hadn't bothered to make any more grey ones after they went obsolete :( . I've had a few sets of genuine mats before, but these are different. The logo is a really nicely finished embroidered logo- even the parts guy said 'Bet you weren't expecting these!'. The ones I've had in the past were a sort of sticker logo, which doesn't wear particularly well. Well chuffed with them. £49 after CCGB discount ;)

The best option is standard VW or Vibratechnics. I've gone with Vibratechnics on my 16v and they're great. Only marginally more expensive than VW. Give the boys at DG Autotech a shout.

DG Autotech open day 15th May everyones welcome

I'll be there, dunno what car though! :) -
Yes, it is. I've had a 197bhp Prelude, 160bhp Civic VTI and a 170 bhp VTI. I would go with the Teg out of those two, no question. But I would keep the VR6 to be honest! You will totally miss the torque. VTEC is great fun, but having to thrash it and the lack of torque become a little tiresome. My 2p.

We sure have!

Mine used to do this. Turned out to be a loose earth cable on the circular earth point behind the dash/above fusebox.
