Also check the caliper bolts :)

What about this one? My KR one has one round end and one oval end- perfecto 8)
-
Well done, Chris :salute:
-
Brilliant! You're all stars :notworthy: Nothing to worry about then, as they all have aftermarket wiring 8)

Thanks guys! Here goes- Black 2-pin plug: yellow/black brown Brown 8-pin plug: brown/black red/green brown/white red brown/blue blue brown/red green/blue Part number (tiny!): 357 035 447A I thought it may be the stereo. Mine has quite a bit of aftermarket stereo gubbins inc speakers, so the original loom may be redundant. Cheers :)

Defo paint the inserts a dark colour, polish the rim and keep the rest silver 8) -
It's not that bad. Mine was made more complicated by swapping early for late + carpets, matrix etc. Go for it, but make sure you label all the plugs, unlike me! That tax disc was behind everything when I took it out ;)

Stop laughing!
-
Well after getting the dash back in, and stupidly not labelling everything, I've got a couple of plugs knocking around  Any ideas?
-
A couple of pics of the work in progress.

Thanks everyone- it's in! Followed Fla's advice and it went in - piece of cake 8)

Try www.senditnow.co.uk ;) Have used them several times recently for large/heavy items, and have had no probs at all. Only £10.50 for 48hr delivery.

Very, very nice mate 8) So pleased for you :) Interior looks excellent. -
Thanks mate- you're a star! Will have another go tomorrow.

I simply can't get the glovebox into my new dash. I know the metal bits at the top are tough to get past, but it just gets to the point where it won't go any further. There's nothing in the way behind it. Any advice would be very much appreciated, before I smash it into many, many pieces! :bad-words:

Great work! Gotta start cleaning mine too- scared of that layer of glass dust that's all over my car :?
-
Got any black ones, Dave? ;)
-
Maybe worth getting some to try, seeing as they're so cheap  Or, maybe worth seeing if there are any available from other cars...

Can't wait to see the car mate! You're gonna have your work cut out to get it ready on time- I'm sure you'll manage though! :) Struggling to get mine done, to be honest :? Would you be able to get me some 85rd polish and a couple of pads please mate? Let me know how much they'll be and I'll give you the cash at Stanford if that's OK? -
Gotta get some nylon coatings into my life! :norty: That subframe looks ace 8)
-
Black's defo the way forward- especially in a nylon-coated kinda way ;) Loving that subframe of yours, Judith. Fitted the a pillar trims and passenger grab handle tonight. Re-fitted one of the rear doorcards as it kept popping out. One thing I'm having a probs with is refitting the glovebox in- just will not go in :( Any tips anyone?

It's up and running again  Main prob I've got is the early centre console sticks out at the bottom. Need to find a way of securing it via the screw holes in the cubby hole, although these don't line up with the bracket behind :( Nothing's ever simple! I used the later, shorter bracket. May have to adapt either one of the brackets. So, all that's left to do is: Fit black A & C pillar plastics + rear joining piece. Fit undertrays and fuse box cover. Then it's done and will just need a damn good clean for Stanford. Loving the black interior- grey's fine when new or in mint condition, but mine had aged a bit and the black looks so much better now 8)

Pretty certain Eurocarparts have some late ones, VW will have late ones, GPC in Luton should do as well. Early ones are obsolete, but ECP have a handful of N/S ones left.
