  1. or santas sledge :| Thanks mate, not thought about that one- I'll pay him a visit!
  2. Agreed- defo not worth having a respray if the car is on the road. Thankfully, mine is garaged, but that doesn't help at work! :(
  3. Well in the last few months its not be great maybe 32 at best Is there supposed to be springs on the calipers asI cant remember seeing any on mine :? Springs are internal, but the Audi's have them to make double sure in case the internal one goes AFAIK.
  4. Sounds like the spring is being tempremental and not always returning the calipers to the off position when the handbrake is released. Have you noticed any drop in mpg?
  5. Hahaha sorry it had to be said :D Hope you can get it sorted pronto and not to much money. My brakes still ent working right :( so trip to DG next week :D TBH, I wouldn't drive too much with it like that. It was stupidly hot :? Have found a potential fix for siezed calipers (one on the vRS is on it's way out). External springs from an Audi A3! Haven't checked the calipers on either of our cars to see if they'll fit yet, but it's a brilliant idea for well under a tenner 8) clicky Did you copper slip the back of the pads? Were the sliders in decent condition? What pads did you use?
  6. Shut it, Swomp-boy! :nono:  Not gonna sell, don't worry. Jim, got two very good places (one of which actually did the respray on the car a couple of years ago), but they are both very expensive :( Jon- it crossed my mind. Proving something like this is nigh on impossible though :(
  7. It is the new Celica. Apparently will have a suburu boxer engine in it, rear wheel drive and 200hp. How come it will have a Scooby engine? :? Either way, it looks and sounds cracking. RWD? 8)
  8. Nope- initially thought I'd found the culprit: red car, scuffed bumper + a tiny bit of black paint. On closer inspection, the damage on hers was too high + she swore blind she hadn't done it (she's a friend and I believe her- she actually hit my last valver and came to see me straight away). Don't fancy my chances to be honest. Reckon it was a delivery van/truck, or a parent :( Yet more £££ :bad-words:
  9. Glad you sorted it- your wheel was HOT when you arrived :?
  10. The exact words were: 'That black car is really nice'
  11. Nope, doesn't look like it. Easy enough to find the culprit if it's someone who works at school, but there are loads of parents who use the carpark after school to pick up their kids from the after school club :(
  12. Discovered today that my O/S rear arch has been hit by some ignorant shit in my work carpark. Dented, scratched and got loads of red paint from the other car... should help me track down the culprit... hopefully! :censored: Will get a pic up tomorrow.
  13. Thanks to Jake (Swompy) for the quick payment for the filter 8)
  14. No worries, Jake. Went well today- glad we eventually got that top bolt removed ;) I texted my Headteacher about the damage, and she reckons it may be covered by my union... not so sure myself. Either way, I'll have a very close look at all the red cars in the car park this week!
  15. Is this the VR one? If so, Ford should be the cheapest. Genuine VAG part for the Galaxy V6. When I got one it was over £5 cheaper.
  16. Would think there would be more VR6s than the others, then 2.016v, 1.816v, G60 and finally, the 8v must be the rarest. No idea on percentages!
  17. Is that the new Celica? Very nice indeed... That Jetta Coupe doesn't float my boat I'm afraid. Just looks like an ordinary BMW or the Citroen C5 to me. Prefer the Rocco, especially the R. Also prefer the Passat CC, especially with the 3.6.
  18. Spotted one headed south on the A38 near Thornbury on Friday arvo at around 3.45pm. Was concentrating so much on the snow I nearly missed it.
  19. Got Red Stuffs for my vRS from Venom- cheapest after shopping around.
  20. Many thanks to Tim (nocrap) for the thermotime switch, which arrived very quickly and was as described :)
  21. No worries, Matt. Thanks to you too for the prompt payment and good comms :salute:
