  1. I've got a TSR one. The gear cables were resting straight on it and had melted through  (think this is the one David was referring to!). DG Autotech made a bracket which mounts to the subframe. This just holds the cable out of the way. Job done! Otherwise there is plenty of clearance under the bulkhead.
  2. Well if it isn't our old friend AQUA G60... You've been banned several times now. Please don't sign up again. Thanks. :epicfail: Nice work Sherlock! 8)
  3. Do you know anyone with a working MAF? You could swap over and see if it makes a difference. Also worth checking the MAF connections and giving the pins a clean with an emery board + contact cleaner.
  4. Wow, what a find! The badges *could* have been put on by the dealer- especially as it's a N reg. Dave's has Storm badges and Solitudes. That paint looks wonderful 8)
  5. :( That's really sad to see, Paul. Hope you get it all sorted soon. Really don't understand why people do this sort of thing. Idiots :bad-words:
  6. As above, or check all the ISV pipework and make sure the sponge from the black plastic ISV damper box hasn't been sucked into a hose. Happened on mine and I had identical symptoms to you.
  7. Glad you got it sorted, Jim. Always a relief! And yeh, Jack is awesome :) 8)
  8. Thanks, David :) Yep, they've got some special DG shielding 8) The gearchange is fantastic now
  9. Gonna need to start calling you 'Yoda' soon
  10. That's annoying, Jim. It's amazing how different each MOT place seems to be in terms of what they'll pass, even though the authorities are pretty strict with it all :? Thankfully the parts weren't toooo pricey.
  11. Thankfully the matrix is OK :) Turned out to be the bypass valve  So, last night I did the following: Drained coolant Changed radiator New rad fan switch Changed flange/o-ring on side of head Deleted the heater bypass valve and replaced with copper pipes (thanks for the tip, Dave!) New coolant Car is now running really well, with no leaks (so far) and the heater is working properly again.
  12. Not getting any heat from the heater and now the rad has sprung a leak! :bad-words: It never rains! Must be an air lock, but had a good go at getting rid of it today, to no avail :( All the pipes seem full of coolant, inc the heater ones, + they all get hot after a while. Any ideas?
  13. That could defo be the prob. Check that all the pipes are connected and that there are no splits/holes anywhere. Check them really thoroughly! Have you got a pic?
  14. Well, I reckon it feels a touch faster than the Griff I went out in the other week, but difficult to be sure as they're so different. I feel a drag race coming on
  15. Cheers chaps :) Quick update- spent the day at DG yesterday. Had a great day- frustrating at times, but got a lot done in the end :salute: New gear cables, selector bushings etc have absolutely transformed my gear change! I can push it around with one finger now! 8) Unfortunately, Dave (or was it Chris?) managed to break my water pump  It had been weeping slightly for a while judging from the pink moustaches, and thankfully the guys had a nearly new one lying around. Was an absolute PITA to change! The bolts just didn't want to line up when putting the new one on, but we got there in the end. Did a couple of other little jobs- rear wheel baring, a little underseal hear and there, secured the loose driveshaft weight etc. All in all a really productive day. A huge thankyou to the boys for theIR fantastic expertise and attention to detail that sets them apart from the rest. Also a big thanks to Chris, who mucked in too! 8)
  16. Nearly graced the VRT with some vomit yesterday  Loving the new extra boost, Dave. Reckon you'll easily stay with the TVRs when we have a joint meet :salute:
  17. Liking the new BMC - little pricey though! dowanm1, that kit looks great, but have heard some less than favourable reviews. I would only use a paper filter in a G60- the charger doesn't like ANYTHING coming through, and cotton/sponge filters will let a helluva lot more debris into the charger than an oem paper element.
  18. Still loving 'Junior' by Royksopp. Fav tracks are Tricky Tricky and You Don't Have a Clue, although every track is great 8)
  19. Not a fan TBH. Think the C looks better with a few lines here and there to break things up. Just my 2p.
  20. Just seen this- hope you find out who did it! Can't believe these idiots who just drive off :nono: :bad-words: All the quotes sound pretty good. At least you'll have a minty bumper.
  21. Was cleaning the car yesterday and a guy came over and had a really good look at the car. He asked if it really was an H reg and said it was stunning 8)
  22. There are brand new pattern ones on Ebay that are around £60 IIRC. They are actually really good and work perfectly. As said above, second-hand ones can be had cheaply too.
