Corrado MOT Fail - excessive play in steering column... PASSED
CazzaVR replied to Jim's topic in Drivetrain
Good work Jim. Gonna attempt this myself at some stage. Apparently makes a big difference. Andy.prodigalson was very impressed and his car passed it's MOT again this year with flying colours :) -
Will fit fine. Speedo may be a little out due to the profile.

Very high oil temps (VR6) + drastic reduction on switching off
CazzaVR replied to Stonejag's topic in Engine Bay
using the interior fan and the heated seats also makes the oil temp jump. Obviously something to do with increased load on the battery. Bad earth? -
Also check all the air hoses thoroughly. Had similar prob once and it was a split on the underside of a hose. Very difficult to spot

This guy rings a bell. Chinnor seems very familiar. Certain he used to be on here trying to rip people off. Badboy Higgins? Or could be that corrado specialist guy... Anyone remember? Whoever he is, he's a complete bellend!

Yeh, Mothercare and Mama & Papas stores are usually very helpful and will let you try a few etc ;)

More CF Suggestions! Interior door pull surrounds & roof strips. Think I've probably got a spare pair of door pull surrounds if you need them... -
I wonder if Trimsport can do anything in CF...

Very high oil temps (VR6) + drastic reduction on switching off
CazzaVR replied to Stonejag's topic in Engine Bay
Stone, did you get anywhere with this? Mine does the same. Got up to 134 on the track at Castle Combe yesterday. Turned engine off then ignition back on again and it was just over 100. Also goes up by around 10 when I use the lights  I know the oil temp is probably fine, especially as I have a Mocal, but I want to sort it. I guess it's almost certainly the oil temp sender. -

Was a real success today. Was great to get 3 laps in 8) Thanks to all who helped organise the day. -
Saw one today just after 4pm in between Falfield and Thornbury on the A38. Exchanged waves :)

CF top mount covers with open centres for adjustable dampers. Also like the idea of a cf intake pipe. -
Lift the gaiter and make sure the little circlip is attached to the side of the gear stick. A few p from vw if it's AWOL.

Have PM'd for prices.

Guys, don't see any problem with it. If you want to make doubly sure, give tempest (Eric) a pm on here as he is in charge of events.

Mentioned in the other thread, rear number plate light cover in cf would be great! -
Same housing and reflector etc. Difference is the glass and plastic outer surround is deeper on the late version.
