Right, this has happened to me twice recently (also happened a couple of times last summer) after going to start the car when it has been sat in the hot sun all day. Had to call the RAC out first time. Basically, the car turns over fine, but won't fire up at all. He thought it was def a fuelling problem and thought it was probably the blue temp sensor. He showed me a neat trick to get it started by spraying carb cleaner into the intake. It started straight away, so not the fuel pump. Had a brand new OEM blue sensor at home, so fitted it and all seemed well until yesterday, when exactly the same thing happened again. Only difference this time was a small 'pop' on the first go with the key :( Thankfully I bought some carb cleaner just in case! I'm a little stumped now. I've tried a different fuel pump relay and it doesn't seem any different. I guess there's a chance that they're both duff though, so may just get a new one. Any ideas?

Recently removed from my Octavia vRS. Will fit KO3s & KO3 turbo engines. Made a big difference to the mid-range of the car, really noticed the difference! Done approx 25-30K miles. Good condition. £130 Collection preferred, or can bring along to Bristol Volksfest or CCGB National Day.

Mine fits well. Someone on here painted theirs with a kind of dark grey textured paint that made it look like the oEM plastics- not sure who though! Alternatives are MK2 Golf scuttle cover + Passat wiper cover. This is an excellent combo that looks completely factory.

Whatever you decide, I certainly wouldn't go for a pattern part when it comes to engine mounts and bushes. Have heard of patterns failing pretty quickly. I'd go VT or standard VW.

Very sad- he'll be a massive loss to the community.He was a thoroughly nice guy + his Corrado knowledge was second to none :( Some sort of collection is a great idea, but as Jim says, we need to know a little more first.

That's the kind of thing- would need the little rounded cutouts for the RCs though :( Well, sold the vRS today. Actually feel very sad as it's been brilliant. Probably the only car we'll ever have had from new. Thankfully going to a new home just at the end of my road, so I should see it around quite a bit :) Corrado news- Lamin-X'd the front lights. Ordered from Neil, the new Corrado sets are very helpful. Went for subtle tint, and it's actually quite dark. I'll leave it on for a bit and see if I get used to it! Also got a Passat aircon systen from daves16v- thanks mate! Have had a good look, but not sure it will fit as I have a Mocal oil cooler. Room will be stupidly tight as it is, but with the Mocal rad and pipes, I'm really not sure I'll get it in at all :( Will have a thorough look in the summer as I'm planning to take the front end off to refurb the cooling system.
