  1. We've been asked to go through the trade entrance this year. I've asked why and am just waiting for a reply. Seems a bit strange...
  2. Aye :) ---------- Post added at 6:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:27 PM ---------- Jake, forgot to say i'm up for food too. It's looking like we'll have 10-12 people now. Postcode for convoy meeting is gl12 8df
  3. Everyone ok to meet at The Huntsman at falfield again? 9.30?
  4. Welcome back matey! Congrats on the little one and the new mota :)
  5. Welcome back! Been ages mate!
  6. Irwin bolt grippers and a breaker bar will have these off in seconds ;) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Irwin-Bolt-Grip-Remover-394001/dp/B0000CCXVZ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1368990670&sr=8-2&keywords=irwin+bolt+grip
  7. Yes John, that's fine! :) Ben, forgot about that!
  8. Nice one mate! Let's hope the weather behaves. Looking forward to seeing the new van 8)
  9. Get yourself a solid rubber MK2 Golf mount. Straight fit and much better than the hydraulic Corrado mount.
  10. Still very tempramental with starting :( Changed fuel filter as I had one in the garage, but no different. That's a little more than I wanted to spend to be honest mate. I might get back to you if I can't get it sorted. Need it on VAGCOM really...
  11. Get yourself along Oz. It's always a good laugh, good atmosphere, plenty of nice cars to look at, funfair, stalls, autojumble, live music etc. Muse even played a few years ago before they got massive. Always good to get the BBQ going, crack open a few beers and then get on the dodgems! ;)
  12. I can't seem to get a smooth first/second gear at all in my car. I've tried numerous adjustments at the cable end + at the gearstick, but still no joy. They are both crunchy and can't be quick. The car has new mounts all round, had new gb oil when the box was fitted after being rebuilt last summer with a 3.68 final drive. It also had a new selector fork and genuine release bearing. I'm wondering whether it's the selector tower itself or maybe a clutch release problem. The clutch does make a strange noise when you depress the pedal- almost sounds like it's sticking for a split second before releasing. Slave cylinder? The gears are smooth as anything with the engine off, but as soon as it starts up it gets crunchy. 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse are fine. I'm more than a little fed up with it! Just want a smooth change. I've got one of Dave's shortshifters waiting to go on + a VT gearbox mount. Maybe these will help. Any ideas?
  13. Crazy :( Lovely Rado in the best colour. What's the spec of the MK2? Hope it's worth it...
  14. Rams how much are you looking for? Send me a pm if you want. Failed to start again yesterday. This time it was in the morning though, so it was cold. First time it's done that. Started it with the carb cleaner again. Started fine in the afternoon though... will have a proper look tomorrow.
  15. Completely forgot to post in here, but big thanks to Daves16v & Kevin Bacon for the aircon system and cam trigger wheel. Both FOC- many thanks guys :salute:

Fantastic work! The seats are stunning- look completely OEM 8)
  17. Thanks mate. Needs a bit of a clean though... Yeh, it's mad! A small tetra like that shouldn't last much over 5!
  18. Dave, those look perfect, so long as they are kind enough to the cap. What do you use on yours? A lil' update. Not really done anything on the C for a while. The last thing I did was fit a centre sunvizor (thanks Ian). Couldn't get it to clip to the sunroof motor cover, but it clips perfectly to the top windscreen trim.
  19. Nice one Jake! It's come ona bit since I saw it ;) Keep an eye on the shark- had one once and it killed all of my Congo Tetras through constant chasing :( My tank currently has: 1 Leopard Plec 3 Columbian Tetras 4 Blue Black Emperor Tetras 5 Cardinal Tetras 2 Ember Tetras 1 Gold Neon Tetra Have lost count of how old the Gold Neon is, but it's in the region of 15 years old! A complete freak!
  20. The best part of it is beers and dodgems in the evening! Just take some antihistamine!
