Had this prob on my first VR. It happened after I had done a coolant change (needed to wiggle the top hose to get it off- ooo-er!). The Stealer and local specialist told me that the elbow wasn't available seperately, and I had to change the whole radiator (which comes with the elbow attached) Wish I'd have known! Steve, do you have the part number for the elbow?

Just keep your eyes peeled on here- plenty of good cars come up for sale. Just be prepared to be patient, and drive as many as you can :D

The knowledge base is wrong  Had a G60 & 2x 2.0 16v (third on the way 8) ). Long motorway-type journeys: G60 typically 34-36mpg Valvers typically 35-39mpg Around town/short journeys: G60: mid twenties Valvers: Late twenties Not much in it really, but over time you notice the difference in your pocket.

Nice one! Corrado insurance is a bit odd, with the 8v being in a higher group than the 1.8 16v, and the 2.0 16v being 17 with the G60. Strange. Who told you fuel consumption was better in a G60?!!! No chance! Reckon you could find a decent one for your budget, but you may need to be quite patient.

Cheers, Jim! :D And yes, get on with it!

Fantastic- keep us posted!

Thanks KADVR6, that's pretty much where mine was, although I think mine was pushed slightly further back under the MAF.
-
Blimey! Go get that G60! :D

Yeh, the bodywork is in excellent nick, and it drives well too :) Good plan! How long's the VR been out for?
-
Little shits! Is it down to the metal?

gaz the geezer, nearly a year since I sold my VR to Gazman :) That was waaaay too long! 16v, yep, will do!

Well, as the title says, I'm gonna be back in a C very soon :D Went and had a look at this 2.0 16v today, and it's exactly what I'm after. Paid a deposit, and I'll be picking it up as soon as I sell our Civic. Big thanks to Laurence (top bloke for meeting me half way :) ), and also to the ladies for being very patient while the deal was being struck  I'm so excited about this! :D :D :D

Dr Forinor, as it's soooo long ago, and that car is long gone, I can't remember what I cable tied it too! Just have a look around in that vicinity- it may have been one of those hook things that the airbox is attached to. vdubjb, it was horizontal. Didn't have any probs with it.

Sat: Birthday! :D Sun: Buy a 2.0 16v... hopefully! 8) Mon: Clean cars, chill, some schoolwork :(

This is just getting worse! It's best just to keep your cool, although that's pretty difficult when these people drive dangerously. Wankers!

When I first got my blackberry VR home, gave it a really good clean in and out and found a small bag of coke wedged under the driver's seat

Glimpsed a dark coloured C going through Baunton, Glos, yesterday afternoon. It headed up towards the Cheltenham Road. -
My first had 130k and second over 200k (70k on the engine) and they were both excellent! As Jim says, as long as they've been looked after properly they should be fine. You can get the chains/tensioner done as a precaution if in any doubt.

Green L-reg in Cheltenham yesterday at around 3.10pm. Looked quite low. -
What does your VW dealer think of corrados?
CazzaVR replied to surfer.vr6's topic in General Car Chat
After an initial bad experience with the parts guy at EuroCanterbury VW (had never heard of a G60 and was generally unhelpful  ), had nothing but praise and good responses towards my C's :) Both at EuroCanterbury and Cirencester VW, regularly had techs and salesmen looking at the car and asking me about it. Often had the 'Always wanted one of these,' kind of comments. -
Damn! Threw one of these away when I moved house!
