Excellent work, Dave :) Will be very interesting to see the torque curve after the RR run. I bet you feel well chuffed!

Nice one- thanks mate. Sounds pretty easy really. One of those things that seems a bit daunting, but in reality, probably isn't! I'll have to ask Santa for some kit then ;)
-
I was a bit worried when I started reading then! Sounds like you've sorted it though. Is welding pretty straight forward? Never had a go myself, but it's something I think I should learn...

Breaking Black non sunroof 1995 Corrado L041 parts pag 1

Do you have the sunroof motor cover that the interior light sits in in perfect condition? If so, how much? :) I'm also after the two little spongy dampers that are attached to the tailgate trim to 'buffer' the parcel shelf. -
Got a feeling Jon Mitchell (16vG60) has one on his. Might be worth dropping him a PM.

Wow! Impressive stuff- wish I had the skills 8) Windscreen rust is often a Corrado killer, so hats of to you for taking the bull by the horns and getting it sorted :salute:

Neil, I'll have them please mate. PM me payment details :)

Pretty sure you can still get the plastic one? Really cheap, and you could get it covered in leather.

It's a little spring-loaded popper, to lift the boot slightly so you can get your fingers underneath easily to lift it. Still available from VW for less than a tenner. Just remember to order the securing piece that screws on, as it doesn't come with the other part. There is also a little rubber piece that pushes onto the end, but there are 3 different versions of this- VW will be able to tell you which one when you give them your reg ;) 535827761 Popper 535827765 Threaded securing plate

As above, normal to get some through there. Is the PCV OK?

Thanks again. There was scratch damage to most of them- I repaired them, but obviously not well enough, apart from the bottom two. I waited for them to dry before removing the tape- nice tip removing them before dry ;) Will have another go tomorrow...

Thanks Chris! Checked the fuse, looked OK, but changed it anyway. Lights and spoiler work fine. Haven't got hold of a meter yet, so haven't been able to test the volts. Just fired it up a few minutes ago as the window was completely misted up, and the bottom two elements are working! Any ideas? I thought if one was damaged they'd all be out?

Looking superb! :salute: Good work all round- you must be well chuffed 8)

Was finally able to clean it today. Ordered a couple of new drying towels from cleanyourcar. Gave it a wash, then Super Resin Polish on the front end, followed by Jetseal 109 on the whole car. Then some Dodo Juice Blue Velvet, and finally some Megs Tech Wax. Love the Tech Wax- so easy to work with! Looks nice. Think I'm most pleased with the ding removal. The paint job isn't 100% perfect- there are a couple of TINY imperfections which I've noticed on very close scrutiny. Overall though, I'm very very happy- the car looks soooo much better now 8) Gonna hoover the interior and clean the leather now. The engine bay can wait until I've got more time- there's a fair bit of dust in there from when the paint was done. The pics aren't great- I can never seem to get a good shot- maybe I need some photography lessons!

I'd be interested, Jay. Would it be just front or rear & Gearbox too? I need the others more urgently. -
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - 5/10 Some good action, but the franchise is VERY tired now. Better than the last one though!
