Great vid :) My two boys are exactly the same- they love going out in the VR- it's a real treat to them 8) Cushions are so versatile aren't they? :)
-
Think they are around £45 from VW. I'd go for a new one TBH.
-
Ah, right! Will look perfect with them back on 8)

Very nice, mate. Those wheels are growing on me... are the BBSs off being refurbed? Standard colour or something different?
-
The bigger one with the brown plug is the thermotime switch- pretty pricey! This can affect the start up- can't remember exactly how- been a while since I sold my valver ;) Have you tested/cleaned the ISV?

They will never dry properly, and will probably always smell :( I would get some new underlay from a carpet shop. Go and ask if they have any offcuts in a similar thickness. Keep the old ones to use as templates. ---------- Post added at 08:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:18 PM ---------- Hasan beat me to it :)

Welcome! As Elliott says, just take your time. Be as thorough and picky as possible, but also realistic. Whereabouts are you? There maybe an expert near you who wouldn't mind having a look with you :)

CazzaVR replied to voo51's topic in Cars for Breaking
Nope- they are made of sponge and are stuck onto the black tailgate trim that the parcel shelf butts up against. Have you got the sunroof motor cover? -
Love the colour- quite a rarity nowadays 8) You've done a fantastic job on it, it's come so far since that pic with all the lacquer peel.

Don't have ETKA myself, but have you tried vagcat.com? You should be able to get the info you need off there :)

Must be a relief to finally get it sorted 8) Making mistakes is all part of the learning process mate + it was fitted incorrectly in the first place so you have a good excuse ;) Interested to see the BMC mount... -
Bump. Surely someone's got an old one knocking around?
-
Yaaaaaay! :) Really glad it's back- looking forward to seeing it 8)

If you're getting excessive engine movement. Easy test is to put bonnet up, the handbrake on, car in 1st gear and move clutch up to biting point. You can see the top of the engine moving from the driver's seat.

I sure do! I'm buying the inserts that Jay is getting made, but I only have a VT mount, so need the oem housing :)

Gonna knock this one on the head. We've heard all sides of the argument now, and we don't want it to just become a slanging match.
