You can do either - think it's a couple of quid cheaper in advance though ;) -

Just heard from Volksfest and they've given us a club display in the Trade Arena, so need to enter the site via the Trade Entrance. However, take this with a pinch of salt as they usually send us all in through different entrances  -
Lovely wheels Mic! 8)

They're pretty quiet really. Not boomy at all like the Scorpion. Just gives a nice sound when pressing on, otherwise sounds almost standard. Perfect tailpipe too.
-
It's Magnex specific. Look at the hanger near the tailpipe- it faces towards the back of the car. Perpendicular to the standard hanger. A custom exhaust place could sort this easily enough, either with a new bracket or weld on a new hanger. GLWS- best off the shelf exhaust for the Corrado IMHO.
-
You can remove the crack pipe without removing the front end, but it's like doing the heater matrix without removing the dash IMHO. Stat housing on it's own is fine by removing the coil pack, if a little fiddly. That short bolt is always a PITA!

Yep, camping and display :) haven't got mine yet- still undecided on whether to camp... -
You'd be right I'm afraid. Worth replacing the lot + water pump with oem parts while you're in there, if they haven't been done for a while.

Sean- no worries and thanks for the offer. I don't think we've got any banners or anything this year, unless Ian's got one, so don't worry. -

Right chaps, buy your own tickets as usual ;) Rob, get it entered! It's a big show and shine- I'm sure yours would hold it's own. Just go over to the CCGB website to register for the club. Ian (GlosterOx) is actually the membership sec, so give him a shout if you have any probs ;) Think I may just do the Saturday this time, although the show and shine on the Sunday was definitely worth a look. -
This will fit any Rado (including VR) that has facelift bar style hangers. Do you have the rear hanger bracket to go with it? Not interested myself, but the Magnex needs this to fit properly.

Nice one Chatters! Will be great to see the Storm, provided you haven't broken it again ;) I'll add you to the list. I'm planning on going Saturday and camping over to the Sunday to catch the Show 'n' Shine :) -

Vaughan, Jake and Ian- where are you?! -
Agree with The Hoff- Rainsports are a fantastic tyre at a very good price. Bought some Rainsport 3's from Mr Lobitos recently for the S3, and they're excellent. Brilliant price and service as always from Mr Lobitos. Wouldn't buy from anyone else!

VR6 starting but then cutting out - not every time though

As Sean says, it could be anything. I'd start with the intake pipe work and ISV. Only way to be sure is take it all off and closely inspect for splits, holes and blockages. I've had similar probs in the past with the same symptoms. One was a failed ISV, another was the big intake pipe between the air box and throttle body was split underneath and another time, the sponge from inside the ISV damper box (little black plastic box behind the ISV) had got sucked into one of the pipes. The last one was the most difficult to sort- 2 garages spent an age and couldn't work it out. Finally sorted it myself after taking all the pipes off. It really is an easy job- just a few jubilee clips. To get to the ISV you will need to undo the spark plug leads and remove the rear black engine cover, which has two bolts. All really simple. Remember to use the search on here, as this has all been covered before. Sometimes you'll get better results by using google instead though ;) -
Fantastic work as usual Dave. Looks brilliant 8)

Reckon lighter coloured cars need to be 'broken up' a bit with the black plastics such as the grille, light surrounds, rear number plate holder etc. colour coding suits darker cars IMHO.
