Ok, so when cleaning my 'rado last wknd one of the side repeaters' tabs snapped off, so need to buy a new pair. Been lookin' on the bay for some and I want a dark/smoked set and came across these 2. My guess would be as its a market for 2nd hand cars, there's never gonna be 100% consistency in prices etc. I guess some sellers may not know what they're worth, some think they can get more for a saught-after car, and others tend to go with the average price :confused4: I paid just over 4k for my VR back in March, but had 51k on the clocks and electric leather Recaro's.

I could get it for £170-190ish online, but thought "Hey, ex-display, get it for a bargain!" "Hi mate, I reserved this headunit last week for when u take it off the display?" "Yep no problem, let me get it for u......This the one?" *starts packing it together for me* "Before u sort it all out mate, how much is it gonna cost me then?" "Ummm...(scans it) £249 sir" :shock: "Hang on, you're gonna sell me an effectively SECOND HAND headunit, for £50 MORE than you sold it 1st hand last week??" "That's what the system says..." :lol: Needless to say I didn't go ahead with the transaction :lol: Nice set of cars u've had their mate, love Jetta's :luvlove: and that red mk2 u bought looks special! Hey Pete only just read this! Thanks dude, appreciate it :D Thing is I cant really afford to be without the car for any amount of time, so I guess I could buy used wishbones and de-rust them etc, what would I need to coat them with after they'd been blasted then? I think maybe by the time Ive done all this it might be cheaper to buy new ones? Im saving up to buy myself new wishbones, ball joints and track rod ends, anything else u can advise on replacing dude?

My VR runs smoothly at just under 90degrees when moving, however very short spells in traffic etc it creeps up quite quickly past the 100 mark. What temp should the fans kick in? As soon as it's moving again tho it comes quite happily back down to 90!
