Hmm that sounds like it could've been me...

The website I got em through was http://www.stagonset.co.uk/, pretty good range and quite cheap. The delivery (£1.50ish) cost more than all the fixings I needed

The plastic clips they screw into are what Im on about matey - u on about the screws? Or the 'U' clips?
-
Im gonna detail my headlights (painting the reflectors inside), and was wondering what people have used and if they've encountered any problems in doing so etc? Was thinking of some sort of high temp paint? TIA
-
I've always used scotch double-sided tape. There ain't no chance of people nicking my plates unless they take the bumper with them!!
-
Sweet yeh, I know what u mean. After some imagery I can fully make my mind up tho :D Awesome news too, coz I have the tinted covers on my headlights, I take it you didn't tint the headlights then?
-
Lol, did think it was quite neat actually! Mine is tragic!
-
Nice! Any chance of a long(ish) shot of them fogs/indics? Im not sure whether to subtle or go all out on them!

Mmm just been into the local stealers - unfortunately tho he says I need to buy a minimum of 25 - £10.58 inc!! Sooooo, does anyone need any? LOL. (Part number 811 807 577 C for ref) And on a side note, its the 1st time I've seen the ETKA system - wow, now there's a way to make life easier!! Is there anyway I can get a copy of this software?
-
Yeh it depends on the person who bought it! I for one would love to see how my old motor has progressed, if at all! So Im gonna say yeh, he'll respond! Whether it by nice courteous email or restraining order!!

Well, I FINALLY managed to get both headlights out this evening, after trying from 3.30pm-6.30pm!! :bad-words: 2 of the 4 screws on top of the headlights had rounded but got these off quite easily! The middle one on the O/S however, DAMN! It had rusted in tight, and pretty much rounded instantly! So after various methods of attempting to get it out (I had made an extension for a drill bit at work, various other 100mm+ lengths of silver steel with tools imbedded in them), the method that seemed to work best was melting the little plastic "nut" that the self tapper goes into at the very tip of its thread, and then prising it apart with a screwdriver. Thank god thats over with. So I've ordered new stainless bits to replace these with, but NOW I will need some new "plastic nuts" that these tappers go through. Are these items I can buy from Halfrauds, or is it a Stealers item? Either way has anyone got any advice on replacements, or item numbers? TIA :D

Cheers Jake mine arrived today! Good work my man

Well after a few hours of shouting and frustration, I now have both my headlights out so can look forward to tinting them. (middle screw was rounded and rusted on one side) The samples I received are .5mm thick

Sounds good to me bud! Ur on about the fogs and indicators right? Was that measurement allowing for a bit of 'overhang'?
-
Where's MINE then?! :bad-words: Haha, jokes. Nice one for sortin' these bud, didn't think Id get chance to get me some after the last lot stopped. Top notch!

As Jon_vr6 said, the mileage and clock LCD's ALWAYS display. The question he's asking is, are they lit up. As in put the key in the ignition, turn your lights on, then the LCD's will be lit up. Turn your lights off, and thats what the LCD screens will look like regardless of the key being in the ignition or not. Hope that makes sense buddy

I just bought some silverline screw extractors from fleabay, but thanks man hopefully these'll work without damaging anything. Gonna get me some stainless replacements, for the headlights too :D

I've been out to try and get my fog light out to see what kind of bulb I need to replace with. I can tell from the manual that I need an H3, but Id like to know what rating the bulb needs to be? I would've found out myself, if it weren't for one of the 2 screws that hold the light housing in rusted up and rounded!! Can anyone think of a way of getting the screw out without damaging the housing? Thanks in advance :D

Valver for the girlfriend's first car - opinions please...
V-Dubstar replied to pete_griff's topic in General Car Chat
 True!! I agree here mate, might not be the easiest thing to drive for an inexperienced driver lol. I personally would rather be thrown at the deep end with a car without PAS, ABS etc as it probably makes you a better driver for later on, but for someone as you put "absolutely bricks it whenever my car gets a hint out of shape" maybe something a bit newer with more safety features is ideal? But then, it would be ace for you to have a go in another Corrado regularly... -
Sweet as! Definately a 'rado IMO!!
