1. I'll be trying some of these ideas myself as I have a similar problem on the VR. Something I don't understand regarding head gaskets....this always makes people worry and I've heard of lesser cars ending up in a scrap yard if this is the problem, but isn't it a gasket than can be replaced like any other? What's the big deal with the head gasket? Sent from my HTC One X
2. Ok mate no problem. I had a feeling that was the case but it was worth asking :)
3. Yeah, so for the drivers side, under the pedals, for the passenger side, just where someone would put their feet.
4. I took my carpet out months ago and stupidly didn't write down what goes where. Would anyone be able to provide photos of the two foot wells so that I can see what bits go where please? I have managed to attach the back and sides, just need to know how to do the front now :) Thanks!
5. Hey mate, is this bit not included? The filter has arrived safe and sound but not the bits needed to fit it.
6. I've wanted to get this done ever since I saw it on wheeler dealers! I'm not too far from you and £75 for a VR seems like a very fair price. Is it ok to do this on a hot engine? If I drove to you the engine would obviously be hot. I'm still getting my interior back in but hoping to have it all done in a week or so, maybe I can head over your way later this month or early next month?
7. I got some from ebay. It was sticky on one side and I actually ended up using it as a replacement door membrane instead. One thing to mention, the foam is quite thick and makes the floor level. If you remove it, you need to replace it with something of similar thickness otherwise the carpet will have visible diagonals from the floor panels.
8. I took mine off, chucked it, wished I hadn't, had to buy replacements. Now waiting to be refitted.
9. That part is just a plastic stopper for the pedal, it just unscrews but yes, it's holding the carpet down. If you can borrow or hire a wetvac that would be best. Just be warned, 2 years ago I used a hosepipe to wash my carpet and it took 5 days to dry in the heat of summer. Avoid getting it too wet!
10. I believe the most commonly purchased car cover for Corrados is the medium one from halfrauds. A bit more expensive than you want to spend (about £100 I think). FWIW my next door neighbor recently stored his MR2 for about 18 months. On his folks driveway he covered it first with a microfiber cover then a water proof one, both purchased from ebay and said it was as clean when he took it off as when he first put it on. EDIT - I think it's this one: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_565257_langId_-1_categoryId_165611 Wait for Jim to confirm the size tho, I know he has one.
11. In case anyone isn't following this on another forum, I just read that all 3 involved are alive and have been discharged from hospital today. If anyone was at the event happens to have footage, the organisers are asking for it to continue their investigations.
12. All paid. PM'd you my address. Thanks, Ollie.
13. I see someone else has asked about the exhaust, I'm also interested so can I be next in line if it falls through?

Would you take £90?
15. Ditto, renewed at the start of the month....getting ripped off as well :(
16. I'm interested, would you take £90 inc P+P?
17. C'mon folks, we shouldn't encourage violence. You now know who did and can now seek compensation. If you don't get what you want, hire a gritter and go hit Eddies car. :thumbleft:
18. I meant to add to my post. You are welcome to any/all of the bits I stripped from my car. I'm certain it all works it was only the way the 2nd immob had been spliced in that caused my problems and I'm no good with electrics so ripping it all out was the quickest way to resolve it. I'm now praying my dad hasn't cleared out the garage, I'll check this weekend and let you know/provide photos. EDIT - This photo is from my thread, this is what's free if you want it, or if I still have it:
19. I'd love to help but as you know, when mine went wrong I pulled it all out. I've now got a right click kit waiting to be fitted. Hope you get it sorted soon! Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
20. I might not know what I'm talking about (and someone will correct me) but I think your petrol cap will be rotten through (I believe it's rusted inside out from water and crud flicked up by the rear wheel). It'll need to be cut out and replaced. That part on the back of the car will be a home job though, looks to me like you have the right idea on how to tackle it as well.
21. Hey mate, I just wanted to say that your work really is an inspiration. I've not touched my car for months, a combination of bad weather, and laziness but having seen what you have done has really made me want to get back on it. You do seem to have a habit of setting the bar high!!
22. The top mounts are supposed to move (don't worry I asked the same question after changing mine). As for pads I have no idea, sorry.
