How could anybody think this 'fix' was safe to drive with!!!!
g0ldf1ng3r replied to g0ldf1ng3r's topic in General Car Chat
those 'safety' catches are solid as a rock then!!! ;) maybe we should all just rely on them & not bother making sure our cars are road worthy proves my original point, thanks sean -
happy to help m8 :) errr no I think it was just on v power the for sale ad is here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?91537-Storm-Stealth-Turbo & the build thread is here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?50526-Green-Storm-Turbo-GTI-International-Winner-(Corrado)!-p55&highlight=stealth+turbo also - it made 423 horses quite some beast indeed & I did seriously think if I could sell my valver & VR tp raise funds to buy it lol

Where can i buy panels and does anyone manufacture a battery tray?
g0ldf1ng3r replied to afterlife's topic in Exterior
oh I see ok - thanks for the reply fortunately I managed to find the holy grail front spoiler I was hunting (thanks to goldie on here who is a cracking guy & even altered his route to meet me with it) but im still curious if there is a new one out there hiding in storage somewhere I had emailed Kamei in Germany but still no response I wonder if wheeler dealer's Ed would lend me his plastic repair kit to repair the one I have off goldie lol -
as Jim said give them a phone - they are often very busy I saw n3p's storm (currently in the classifieds here) being turbo'd at stealth whilst my VR was in there having a head rebuild - the build they produce is superb & very well thought out. I belive his turned out around 400 horses IIRC VAG-hag has recently had his storm turbo'd by them as well ;)

hello m8 check here http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/scirocco-corrado/corrado/ for the panels if you want to order the best route is to do so through VW Heritage, annavr6 is a user on here who works there & you can PM her for help. my ordering from Heritage you will save on the german classic parts horrendous shipping charges. it does take approx. 3 weeks for the parts to arrive but it is a big saving I have recently brought & used the sill repair panel to do the passenger side on my VR FYI left outer sill is part number 535809847 ;) not sure if ive seen a battery tray section though hope that helps -
very tidy indeed!!
-
if you go to the suppliers section & look for a thread by Opie Oils you can send a PM to Oilman with full specs & info about your G60 & he will recommend the best oil for you personally I always run fuchs titan pro race fully synthetic in my VR
-
lovely post :) hopefully we can find a new owner who will love, cherish & care for your storm as much as you have in your time together we will get you another in the future, until then you know you can drive one of mine whenever you want :D
-
I think it is 12 & 29, same part but handed for the side but then im not sure
-
i wonder if EKTA has any info on the repair kit that VW used to offer - anyone? good idea about using a tougher material Ian
-
oh, apologies if ive gotten confused with what you're after Rog
-
Yes that is them I believe m8
-
Yup what that man said Jamie LOL
-
Hi Rog (and others who are interested) ive checked classic part in Germany & it looks like they have both sides & an option of colours check this... http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/scirocco-corrado/corrado/body/interior/ Heritage will then be able to order for you ;)
-
thanks Jamie I will have a look into that also
-
ha ha ha make sure you don't use plastic pegs - old skool wood only ;)
-
I like the temporary 'securing' mechanism lol
-
good question - I need to do similar to the door cards in the valver I was going to use some hi temp contact adhesive or similar if I can find any - hi temp due to the top of the door card being in the sun
-
