Hey all, When on idle, my g60 seems to hunt slightly. When i bought the car i was told that it had an sns chip, but still ran the standard pulley. Could this be the reason? It hasnt been drastic at all, just slight. Forgive my ignorance but could anyone direct me to the ECU to check? And if anyone has any suggestions id be much appreciated. Thanks alot guys.

Hey all, I've got a bit of a problem with the steering on my '91 g60 and wondering if anyone can help. For some reason it is slightly pulling to the left and cant seem to cure it. Ive had the car laser tracked and its spot on, also checked the pressure in all the tyres and they're good. Is there anything else worth looking at? The top mounts were replaced last summer, could camber have anything to do with it? Im not sure how to adjust that if it is. Any help is appreciated. Thanks peeps.

That would be great mate, prices and the scarcity of cult society ducts in the uk would seem that a d.i.y approach would be far better! Ill PM you my email. Thanks again.

Looking good Lilfuzzer! What exactly did you do to make those then? :)
-
Not as yet! haven't managed to get off my lazy ass and take the headlining out to look at the sunroof drainage pipes. I'm thinking/hoping this is the cause 'cos I have the leak in the exact same place, passenger rear. Can't see it being anything else really.

Not sure if i like the look of the Kamei ones, bit too small! How much work is needed to get the E30 bmw ducts to fit? And is there a way to route air to the airbox, bearing in mind i have yet to remove the CC? And StueyB, yeah ill have the link. Worth a look though i dont really fancy payin loads! Thanks alot mate.

That'd be great if you could mate, Thanks. :)

I saw that car and immediately thought the same thing, though ive been hankering for a set for a while. Clearly we are both thinking along the same lines! Good luck mate, I will continue to keep my eyes open :)

Is that wink suggesting that you still have them and want to sell? :norty:

Yeah will try and get a video up when i can, would be interested what your diagnosis would be if you have one :) pretty frustrating to be honest! Havnt checked if my wipers are identical, just assumed seeing as they are on the VW invoice, will check that and the individual part numbers aswell. With regards to the Halfords incident, i assumed mine were aero wipers from a lupo gti, but am not so sure now you mentioned it. Again, i was told this by the previous owner. Thanks.
-
Gutted :( costs involved are mounting to get hold of a pair of these!
-
Checked the invoice form VW for my lupo wipers and the wiper arms and blades match up exactly with yours. Is the windscreen on your C original? Got a feeling mine has been replaced at some point in the past and have heard that sometimes the curvature (is that how you spell it? :) ) is not exactly that of originals. Not sure of any other reason my passenger wiper is so rubbish at wiping the screen! No amount of wiper bending will get it to give an even sweep across the screen either. oh well...

I did have a look at the door membranes, but im guessing that you would see water from the bottom of inside the door falling into the footwell if it was? My carpets seem to be wet from underneath which is why im thinkin/hoping its one of the sunroof drainage pipes. Ill know soon enough i guess.

Yeah will do, gonna have a go tomorow. From what adolf1976 posted it doesnt sound too difficult. Hopefully....
-
Oh its so much fun  Headlining out this weekend methinks then. And if it leaks after that......grrrr.
-
Great mate, thanks for that. Will check the part numbers against mine after work to see if i have indeed got one wrong wiper :) Thanks again.
-
Yeah thatd be great mic_vr, I can check then if its been one wrong wiper all along :) Thanks.
-
That could be why they're so quick to help me out/not charge me to sort it out. Though i hope this is not the case! Doubt im gonna be able to get them to front the cash to fix the wheel if it is.
-
Yeah the fire risk is whats stopping me from attempting it myself. Ive already been recommended Kur2y's looms so will have a look into those aswell. Though the DG Autotech ones do look sweeeet :) Sounds like we could possibly doomed to be constantly tweaking the passenger side wiper in order to get an even swipe! So this problem sounds quite common?

Well, after keeping air for a couple of days the tyre is flat again. Only this time i can actually hear the air escaping on part of the rim when i try and pump it up again. If i pushed it with my thumb it stopped. Im worried that this is a flat spot on the rim now as im not sure why else it wont keep air. Gonna take it back the tyre fitters anyway and see what they suggest. Is it a case of wheel straightening/refurb to sort out a flat spot? Forgive my ignorance :) Soooo frustrating as i dont know why or what caused it.

Sounds like the same situation as me, its the passenger wiper that isnt in full contact. More bending required methinks. With regard to the headlight looms, I have read some of the threads on making your own, but electrics are not something i know very much about at all and ive heard too many horror stories of smoking looms/fires, and general electical bustedness. Think i would rather leave it to someone who knows what they're doing. Just need to save a bit of monies first.

Do these uprate dipped and main/full beam? And where are you based? Close to Bristol? Thanks. -
Am likin the sound of the original loom staying intact and no chopping. Will have a look through the thread. Thanks 4eyes2wheels!

Also, with regard to the headlight looms, does anyone know whether they'd be pretty generic across all corrado's or are there different types for the vr6, g60 etc. Thanks again peeps. :)
