  1. fair enough, i'd keep an eye on it though, would hate for u too have to sand off loads of rust after the work u've already put in :salute:
  2. Its is shocking some of the driving on those shows!!, love listenin to some of the blatent bullshite that comes out of peoples mouths when they're tryin to blag they're way out of trouble. Most shocking but also pretty funny is the clip from canada of a bait car bein nicked by some complete looney off his head on crystal meth, screamin and shoutin his head off while kaning it round
  3. Gorgeous bright blue corrado going south bound m5 just south of bristol between j20-21, only caught a climpse of it as i was crawling in the traffic goin northbound, looked lowered on non standard rims with crystal/red rear, possibly modded front bumper was hard to tell. 8) also couple of days ago red 16v pulling out of severnmilestone garage but that was my mate Si from RK engineering probably collecting customers car from mot, always a corrado or two down at Rk engineering and Jem has a Super and turbo charged 2L 16v one in blue, thinkin he's lookin at 400+bhp when its runnin right
  4. u just gonna leave it bare metal?? will just rust
  5. Wouldnt say any of them are 'good films' but i could say that about the najority of films i've seen, but they have entertained me and i'd rather watch a poor film with cars and hot girls in then some shite romantic dribble, haven't seen the new one yet but the 2nd one was by far the worse.

Looking good 8) reckon those wheels are gonna look sweet as when its all back together, sure u'll love em :)
  7. I lost the love for my old 306 s16 when the main bottom end bearings went, would have been a quick and not too expensive fix but as time went on it just sat there doin nothin being unloved, then it started to rust and so i decided on a full strip down rebuild, started but lost the love and well 7 years on its sat rustin away with now chance of gettin on the road again, gotta get things sorted when they go wrong boys otherwise nothing happens and as time goes on more and more things need doin and then it just gets left to rot SO GET IT DONE BOYS AND DON'T LET ANOTHER RADO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! team talk over
  8. Changed the oil and filter, made a mess of the driveway as i forgot to drain out the oil from the filter housing before i unscrewed it and as the hot oil went down my arm let go of it and it splased out of the tray as it bounced :brickwall: schoolboy error :censored: (mind u not as bad as when i forgot to replace the sump plug of the mk1 and poured nearly 5 litres in before i realised :brickwall: :censored: :bad-words:) oh and quickly washed her for the 1st time...paintwork is worst than i thought, still machine polisher is on its way :D And tomorrow i got a nice 250miles blat down home to cornwall
  9. I'd say yes but only a little bit and if its been repaired properly can't see why it would drop the value by too much, its more down to wether the perspective owner is worried about it i'd say, if i came across a cat c corrado that had been repaired properly it wouldn't put me off. The best thing is to put it for sale for what u think its worth or what u want for it, have a look at what similar condition corrado's are up for sale for and go with that, its up to the buyer to knock u down and knowing a car has been a cat c will give them something to try and knock u down with or u could put it up for sale a bit cheaper but not accept an a lower offer saying that u've already taken into account its a cat c and thats why you've put it up for less, its up to you what u advertise it for at the end of the day and if someone is willing to pay that for it, doesn't really matter what the book value is.
  10. well finally managed to finish spraying the sidecar fairing, although it still needs cutting back and polishing but will get that done when i come back from cornwall before our 1st race of the season : Which meant i could finally change me oil and give the C a quick wash to see what state the paintwork was actually in. Some nice new golden engine juice and Vw oil filter Nice and clean ..... ....though paintwork is full of swirls and stone chips with a fair few random scratches, so full machine polish and detail will be happenin once me polisher turns up
  11. Gutted, what do u mean by wrinkles up? does it just roll upinto a sausade instead of dusting up?? Does the sandpaper just clog up?
  12. Love it, few little bits i'd change but not much. Corrado came in such a good choice of colour original but Nice to see a non standard colour on a Corrado 8)
  13. Well didn't get as much done on the C as i had planned today as when i tented the garage off for spraying i forgot to get all the tools and stuff i needed to work on the car :brickwall: :censored: and haven't got time to rip it down and tent it again so the oil change and clean will have to wait till early next week but i did manage to get a wrench plug socket and spark lead tool outta from behind the plastic so changed these.... 14. Well haven't had much time too tend to the C yet as was away at donnington park for the weekend and have the sidecar Fairing to repsray this week before i go home to cornwall for a bit, but did have a problem yesterday with a slight missfire and i could hear the expansion cap hissing very slighty but it hasn't lost much water yet, seal looks ok but a bit tired so MK4 upgrade is on the cards shortly and as i'd forgotten how much of a cunt the cap can be to get off, might as well change it. Checked the coilpack for cracks etc, all ok, tested leads and weren't bad, Plugs on the other hand we're covered in shit, cleaned em up and put back in and missfire has gone but will be ordering new plugs tomorrow. Also have been and sorted new oil filter from VW and some fresh oil from halfrauds, was cheapest place i could find Mobil 1 oil.(forgot that that the vr needs more than 5l so had to go back again and get some more :brickwall:) . So hopefully get that and the plugs done on thursday and if its not rainin give it a good clean  Anyway for all the photo junkies out there heres a couple of pics of the old mk3 vr and the rest of the dubs in the house  Oh and some french thing  Corrado92.pdfFront_vr6_.jpg[/attachment:1d3l2g70]passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfengine_bay_vr6_.jpg[/attachment:1d3l2g70]climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfrear3_vr6_.jpg[/attachment:1d3l2g70]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfthe driveway.jpg[/attachment:1d3l2g70]the driveway 2.jpg[/attachment:1d3l2g70] Vr wasn't the tidiest of ones but only cost me £400 and was brought to drive until i found a mk2 to put it in, Shell was a rust bucket. But ended up goin abroad so never got to put it in a mk2. :( but now i have a Mk2 Vr6 but with a sexier body
  15. Nah not really any difference between a service and a rebuild, Jabbasport and g-werks both do rebuild standard chargers should be rebuilt every 60000miles Theres is a good guide on www.matey-matey.com showing exactly whats done on a rebuild and info about service intervals http://www.matey-matey.com/g60-rebuild-article.shtml Hope that helps Mart
  16. 8) Good work, Good on ya for doin it yourself :salute: , like u said its time more than expense, thats why its cost so much to get someone else to do it. I'm a yacht fairer by trade so can appriecate the time and effort its takes to fill, sand and spray. Hopin to do a full strip down, resto and mods myself at some point. Keep the updates comin mart

Looking good man, gonna be sweet when its all back together, what centre's are u goin for on the wheels? Yeah will need another polish as in the 1st pic u can see on the door and wing under where the mirror would be, what looks like marring, This is caused by the coumpounding and 1st polish, its normally happens and a final polish with a high gloss waffle weave and fine polish will get rid of the marring Can't wait to see it finished :salute: mart

  19. Cool, sounds ideal, did they say why they came all the way to england for it?? I was in germany for nearly the last 2 years and never saw a single corrado while i was there, just wonderin if they are few and far between over there
  20. Easy pray  so are most porsches   You turbo guys need to stop it, you are giving my ideas again  :help: Ditto, i'm thinkin it might be better to not by any furniture and fixings for my house and have a bean bag to sit on, sleep on the floor, put the dirty washin out to wash in the rain and only buy food that doesn't need to go in a fridge freezer, Then i can spend my savings on a turbo/SC conversion instead  :cuckoo: Or have a standardish VR, sit back on a nice comfy sofa with a cold beer knowing that the porsche carrea that blew me away wouldn't have stood a chance up against me and the old mans R1 SIdecar   (well upto about 160 anyway)
  21. Spose he's gotta pitch something to try and sell the cars on his forecourt  Does feel good to have rescued this one from a possible life spent rotting away on the dealers forecourt :D
  22. haha he told me the same story, though he was havin to sell this one due to havin to fund an extension on his house, judging by the state of it the 1st time i viewed it, it had definately been being used. This one has only done 4k in the last 18 months though so think it might have been sitting amongst the dealers forecourts for a while.
  23. oh yeah u did mate i remember now, St Agnes, lol u still got em? Cheers, yeah it does look black alot of the time, doesn't help that its covered in filth at the moment, will have to wait till next week to give her a good clean as off to donnington park for the weekend :D
  24. cool, how many are you going to get in total?! LOL, who knows
