Hi Can anyone tell me what size diameter the brake hard lines are, need to order some for me vr6, i thought they were 3/16" but wanted to check before i order Cheers Mart
-
ah right i didn't realise that, no wonder they rounded off as soon as i tried to undo em
-
yeah it does make sense as the pressure regulator has to come off to get the bolt for the bush out. The bolts on the pressure regulator are allen key type and mine rounded off as soon as i tried to undo them :( so will to get the easy outs on them

What engine u swapping, how nmany miles on one goin in? Could be worth doing clutch as you'll have the box and engine split, timing chains if its a vr or belt if its not,
-
its an 8mm spline mate
-
The front plastic guide should slide towards the battery side of the bay, u will have to loosen the right hand plastic to allow the front one to slide off and leonard i will have a look shortly for which size spline key u need as i'm goin in the garage shortly

Has anyone actually had their exhaust from Venom?
Emkayvr6 replied to daleyboy's topic in Suppliers Forum
I ordered a magnex over the net from venom late at night, had a call the next day to say they didn't have one and couldn't get one from magnex as they'd gone bust, so far enough, (Surely they should have removed it form they're site?) said they had a jetex that they could get to me within 2 day, so took that as it was my second choice anyway and they didn't charge me the extra for the jetex :) Sure enough it arrived two days later, :D Sounds like u def had a bad experienced with them tho, don't blame u for cancellin. -
yep agree with stryker, im a yacht fairer by trade, which is basically the same thing, filler and paintwork, and sounds like poor prep work, any imperfections in filler work and sandin marks are magnified ten fold once the paints on.

Good too hear of another south west rado being brought back too life, keep us updated

Hi bobby, thanks for the rear beam, would have loved to have stayed a bit longer and had a good chat and look over your car but time was tight still had stuff to load up for mallory tomorrow. Have just read over your thread and i'm even more impressed now with the true extent of the work gone into your car, would def like to have a proper look over it another day and hear the beast. take it easy cheers mart

Will post some pics for ya when i get it! It got delivered to my old man's in birmingham not to me in plymouth, they must have used the billing address and not the delivery address :censored: as my card is still registered at my dads. Lucky i'm goin up the tues anyway but i just hope my exhaust last the 200miles to get me there!!!

I too filled through expansion tank upto max mark, put cap on, ran engine until fans kicked in and then off, let it cool and topped up. This is the way the bentley manual says to do it. I haven't had any problem since cheers mart
-
So i just found out, couldn't find a magnex so jetex for me,should be here tomorrow or thursday will let you all know what i think
-
I take it this new design still works the same tho and can still be used in the Rado vr6?
-
Thought the very same when i had a look at mine, it a lot of weight straining on the centre section, my centre section started blowing yesterday from the joint so looks nows as good a time as any to get a stainless system, think im gonna go for magnex, had em before and was very happy with them. will let u know how it goes
