  1. Hi guys Now that work is a little more settled, I'll get my butt into gear and chase the company about these. They are slow to respond, so I wouldn't expect a reply tomorrow!
  2. I'm loving the love here guys, awesome response! Thanks for the advice J.C., I'll check those bits out. Not sure I will get time to do much for a couple of weeks. Cheers everyone.
  3. Think I can help on both buddy. I'll check tonight and give a couple of pics for you.
  4. Haha, yep you're right but at least I can see the car could look nice and tidy.
  5. Wow, cheers for the great response! Its going to be either a long term project to get nice or if the rusty blisters are a bit more involved, then we will just keep it to learn about the car. A couple shots from the seller, I guess a while ago as its not as good as the pics suggest!
  6. Hi all, I know its not Corrado related but thought it might interest a few. I've been mad and bought a VW Karmann Ghia. Even a week ago I had no thoughts of doing so but just went for it! Won the ebay auction and travelled upto London on the overnight coach with my partner. A little rusty in patches but a good interior and engine. Well it turns out the seller hadn't done regular oil changes as he only did a small mileage. Anyone who knows about aircooled, knows about regular oil changes to keep things cool. So we overheat and breakdown 138 miles from home! Had to get recovered and cost loads in the process. Now its back home and cooled down, started first time, yay! Nothing too much is planned at the moment for it, just a clean and tidy up. We want to learn about them as we go.
  7. Hi Sam, Thanks for wanting to continue this mate. I do still have the wings taking up room in the basement. Once shotblasted and painted, one showed a little damaged area that someone had tried to badly panelbeat. This was fillered over and you didn't see it when painted. This would again need filling and rubbing back before going near a mould. Both are rot free. Keep us posted on things mate.
  8. Looks like I've missed posts on here for a couple of months. Our friend across the pond can't help himself with dishing out a few digs about these parts. It doesn't look good when you come to sell to people as it doesn't give them a positive impression of you. What you write is the only gauge folks have as to what you're like. In answer to Dogger and my progress on this 'talk and no action'- I spent several hundreds of pounds buying wings, getting them media shot blasted and being sprayed in a few coats of primer. I took the risk to invest money in this venture. The carbon company I had talks with, was keen to proceed and then backed out as their business got busier and couldn't give this the time it needed. My time spent on this was for the good of the future of the car rather than material gain. There isn't much to be made from spending the required time to make it work. My day job is far more lucrative than parts supplying but I like to try and help to keep these cars going. I put in the hours and effort to help in the small way I do. I don't need cheap shots by someone who is solely around here due to commercial opportunites. The only reason people think they can get carbon products made cheaper are due to the extremel prices offered with no competition to bring prices into more reasonable lines. A captive audience and all that. At least when I sell a headlight switch, its with the best interests of the forum at heart and the cheapest I can manage. Anyway, best of luck with your carbon work. It looks very nice. Try to limit your negative view about enthusiast's trying to keep a glorious car on the road and I'm sure you will go from strength to strength. I'll stick to my day job and not worry about seeing you touting for business on the Transporter forums seeing how VW doesn't bless the US with the T5. Peace out buddy!
  9. A little bump to keep things ticking along with these switches. About a third of them left now.
  10. I have just the arch cut off a car if its any use? Sorry I cant help with the filler area.
  11. All sorted out now and posted out. I've worked out that I missed this switch to be sent out as I had a load to send at once. It got missed and I didn't notice. Apologies for that and I'm back in control of things as my work situation has calmed down now. I've counted up and there are 36 switches available if anyone is in need.
  12. Hi mate. Really sorry to have missed your post for so long! Its been silly busy at work for the last couple of months. So I've not had time to put towards this at the moment. Once things get back to normal, I'll get onto it again. Thanks for everyone's interest!
  13. I've been a bit out of it recently with work taking up so much of my time over the last couple of weeks or so. All pm's replied to and switches posted out. I still have a stock of over 30, so don't be worried about asking if I have any left. For a while there are plenty, as you can see this won't be the situation for long. Thanks to all for your continued support in buying these, to help to make this possible.
  14. No worries guys, glad you're happy with everything. The switches that have been paid for during the week will be posted tomorrow as I have been unable to finish work early enough to get to the Post Office. Still plenty available to newbies that might not have seen these being offered before.
  15. To all that have paid over the weekend and this morning, your switches will be going out either today or tomorrow depending on my work commitments. Many thanks to everyone.
  16. True buddy, I've been working lots recently as I was asked to rescue a sinking ship of a job! I'll see if I can finish early enough to pop over on the way home.
  17. Hi Ben, Of course you can. Pm on its way. Many thanks.
  18. Looking forward to having an inspection mate. I saw you the other evening driving but not close enough to see the paint job. Glad you're pleased.
  19. Hi Plummer, Yep, loads left. I'll pm you details in the minute buddy.
  20. Hi mate, I've tried a pm to you but will send an email later tonight just to make sure. Thanks, Matt.
  21. Hi mate, inbox now sorted out and pm'd you. Many thanks. Hi Adam, I do have loads of switches available, so I'll pm you in a min bud.
