the hub bolts can come loose if they`ve been taken off, check them maybe, use new ones and tighten to 200 odd lb!

hey guys i changed my cambelt, tensioner, pas belt, alt belt, throttle cable and checked my cam chain yesterday as part of my 150,000mile service :8): when i pulled the bottom half of the cam cover off it had 2 grooves where the bottom pulley had been rubbing on it, i had heard a whirring noise after leeting off the throttle before the work was carried out the tensioner was knackered so thought it was that, however all back together the noise is still there, the cover is fitted correctly but cant see how anything can be rubbing. any ideas ???? cheers ben

are you sure?? i`ve always heard/been told it was rear demister like mirrors wouldnt have though they`d have been bothered to make it too complicated?? switch on switch off! :confused:

i`ve got 1.8 16v with 150k and although i`ve had the head done 18months ago it`s been fine really (apart from usual things suspension brakes cambel exhaust etc) also see sig below vvv

i`m running 36 f, 32 r on standard 15`s and it feels better then the standard (16v) pressures quoted 38f, 33r dunno about 18`s though

i`ve got the f1 aswell it almost goes round corners too well....

my bird`s C was `90 16v had elec sunroof and keep fit windows went to look at a `90 16v which had no sunroof and keep fit handles

what colour are you thinking of tinting them? i got mine done red by my mate at VW

yeah, i do too, on black it looks sound! didn`t like the headlights though... half thinking clear side and rear indicators done the same??

do you mean registered? cos they were made in Karmann factory. have you got the service schedule? it would say in the front of that otherwise go to your dealers and ask them to run a check on it i`m sure it would show up
