i think(but could be wrong-please correct me if so) a new front bumber is about£375+vat rear£350+vat, thats new and un preped, no idea on spray prices though sorry and them figures are only ballpark

well its been picked up today and taken away for inspection. i`ve been up and revoved everyhthing i could that wouldnt be noticed, stereo, speakers spare, etc, beeftech, your right about clas c&d salvage, the insurance say it will sell it back if its in one of these classes, i`m not sure about repairing it but i would like to strip and sell it, sonia`s a bit nervous about driving it now its been in a crash but i could use it as an educational process i mean strip the engine etc and rebuild it therefore will make a saving on garage bills when mine goes wrong! i`ll wait to hear from the insurance company and keep you all posted thanx for the support! :)

i was just gonna ask about that! surely you havent got 9 sets of wheels stored around the place, have you?? and have you tried most of the sizes that fit on the C? which did you find the best for looks, handling, blah blah blah......... 8)

im 25 with 4yrs N/C i`m currently with adrian flux £550 (with exhaust that i told them about 18 months ago but when i rang them today to include lowering they had no record of any mods!!!!) so standard! to include exhaust&shocks it went to £628, salvage retention only on class c&d total loss Rang HIC and the same policy was £640 with similar benefits (+agreed value, bit of stereo) only half way through my policy so not changing yet but i`ll ring closer to the time to see any differences the two are pretty close me mate got a cracking deal from HIC on his golf 8v with rallye engine-£350ish (similar age an stuff!) maybe paying for it cos its a coupe?? or cos of profession fitness instructor vs computor programmer???? no-one else seems to come close though! (ring AA for a laugh, they promise to beat others-quote: £1100 yeah right! :lol: )

if its MOT time soon it wil fail on that, but as a temporary fix (on Golf2 anyway) you can cable tie the catch that doesnt open with the handle , open so that only one is getting pulled open! however this is probably a bad idea, if you were in an accident the seat would probaly not hold and and end folding forward! best to do it properly i would say!!

funky, i think i know where that is, went to a wedding in weston zoyland an few months ago, you probably wouldn`t have seen us, sonia only got her car after moving to north wales although we have been down to somerset a few times in my (blue) cor rado, only seen 2 C`s when i been down there a- red one by the VW garage in bridgewater, and the back end of a bue one passing through brigwater! will send a message next time we`re going down to visit and have a mini meet eh? :)

look down next to the ignition and there should be a switch in the dash(just above knee level) theres your manual up/down MFA is the trip computor option 1resets after an hour or so of ignition off option 2 is a continuous collection it gathers time of jouney, distance, average speed, oil temp, ambient temp, MPG, maybe another i cant remember! (also secret modes displaying digi rev counter, vacuum, engine codes......) 1. my vents are prtty poor, dunno if its a common corrado trait? 2. broken wire which links both sides of seat to lock in/out so you can fold `em, easy fix with cable ties, not ideal but passes mot 3. leave it closed for now and do a search for sunroof above, but i`m sure someone will be on here soon to answer the problem. 4. remove parcel shelf, look under the plastic panels next to it, you should see some nuts on a plastic thread, undo them and the speakers will be free to look at hope this helps! :)

me and sonia are actually against these "claims" for injuries that may or not exist but i`m not gonna let my morals get in the way of everything else!!! yeah i dont want to screw the system but i`m afraid to say that if it was the other way round then sonia would be getting screwed for everything possible, it`s truely a nitemare of a situation, a car that we know is good but arnt gonna get what its worth, a poor girl whos stuck on the couch `cos of some tw@t and being faced with the hassel of all of this! we`re all paying over the odds but just cos we dont claim doesn`t mean anyone else will suffer! i`m sure you`d all do the same in a similar situation?!?!?! i dont want anything except what sonia deserves, her car, her mobility, and not having to deal with this sh1t!!!! we`re not spongers, we just want our normal lives back! everything has been affected: work, homelife, holidays.... everything!!! all because of some little sh1t................. BUT we`ve all been there behaved like idiots and i`m sure some of you have caused or been in accidents i only hope that this will teach the lad a little bit of respect about what he`s in control of!!"! hey guys just gotta wait for the inspector to come early next week, i know whats coming but i`m prepared to fight the initial price they give me all the way and defo try and buy it back cos a lot of the parts on it are in better nick than mine. been to doctors and hospital etc..... no injuries apart from seriously painful back, neck, etc.... sonia`s ok today just doped up on painkillers that make her sleepy unfortunatly she`s not gonna be able to come to tatton park tomorrow but i`m still gonna try to make it! TBH i would prefer a write off and buy it back as i wouldnt really want my girlfriend to be driving a car that may or may not be safe on the lookout for another now so she can get back to enjoying her driving! please feel free to comment on anything else you think will be relevant regarding claiming compensation(might as well!!!), breaking or anything else cheers guys :(
