I love that film!

I'll be the odd one out and say that one day was more than enough for me. I went last year and it was amazing, but theres no way I would have enjoyed a second day anywhere near as much as the first. We did spend the WHOLE day there though, dawn till dusk. Plus, with the money you would save you can spend more on the day. Tips for me would be... - As already said, get there before 8am - Take loads of suncream - theres very little shade - I wouldn't pay for the grandstands either

:( I think I'm a little behind the technology curve here, having just bought my first console at age 30... -
Looks great - thats why I like the becker units so much! But surely the sound output is going to be a bit iffy (in terms of both power and quality)? Or is an ipod signal an ipod signal no matter what it plays thorugh?

During the search for my Corrado, I bought a £200 E30 318i and it was brilliant. I sold it on for £250, and the guy is still driving it nearly two years on, having only needed one patch of welding since. Would definitely buy one again.

Sorry, but I wouldn't even go to view a car with an advert that badly written. Its an unfortunate litmus test of ownership, that might be completely wrong, but probably isn't. :?

Just bought an xbox for Xmas. When this all kicks off again, I would definitely be up for taking part. Gamertag: Dee Dubb Yaa (Feel free to add me) Surprised you have braking line turned on though? I would have thought you would have prefferred as realistic a setup as possible! Cheers, Dave -
Ooo, headlight washers, fancy! :) Car looks great! Dave

What a total scumbag. At least you wasn't hurt too much. Hope things work out okay with the insurers in the end. Someone hit my wifes stationery car in the snow and has managed to wriggle out of paying for the damage as no-on can proove it wasn't a 50:50 fault. God knows why he's said its her fault as they both lose their no claims now, so I'm not sure what he gets out of it. -
+1 Totally agree with that.

Cheers dude, defo going to take them to Lepsons later in the year.

I went through exactley the same purchase dilemma - 944 S2 or Corrado VR6. The final straw was I priced up a full brake refurb (discs & pads etc) with genuine parts for both cars, and the S2 came out much more expensive than the VW. Plus, as already said the rear of a 944 isn't great, whereas the corrado looks good from any angle. The 968 solves that problem, but they are way more expensive than a 944.

This will put you off - wheeler dealers lotus espirit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfq0cE17JX8 It doesn't even look like you can change the oil filter very easily.

Lovely cars, but I remember reading that the engine bay is so cramped its an engine out job for a lot of repairs, and surely parts would be astronomical? Would a front engined TVR scratch the "british sports car" itch? Hard to believe, but I would be willing to bet a TVR would be much cheaper to maintain, and probably be faster, easier to sell on etc.
-
I will be considering it when the engine finally needs serious work (touch wood). Eg. head refurb etc.

Ha ha. You own a scirocco. Fail.

Reading down your thread, I was going to suggest subaru gold - the bronzey'er the better. I think it will look good with your shade if green. As for Lepsons, how did you find them - my wheels are going there in january for some OEM silver action. Pricier than some, but supposed to be really decent quality - I got quoted £240 or so for 4 wheels IIRC. Dave

Card has pride of place on the mantlepiece; really surprised some people dont like it. And my missus said her favourite bit was how the C was dirty - shows a bit of action. PS... Driving down that road in a VR must have took some balls.

E38: "...I'm taking a new direction..." I know I'm not down with the kids, but that is taking yourself pretty seriously. Now I remember why I got out of that "shizzle", as they say.

Nice. Hopefully they ship to the UK?

 Will get some pics when its back from DG Autotech. I've gone back to standard ride height and a few other bits and bobs.

I saw a few 2.0T Quattro's on Pistonheads. Think they're just rarer, or maybe a newer shape?
-
If it has to be four wheel drive I would look at a powerful non-S3 A3 quattro - most of the shove with lower running costs, less of a theft risk and no idiots annoying your missus racing her at the lights etc. Depends what she's used to, but I'm sure a 3.2 or 2.0T is powerful enough.

If your getting power to the motor, I would try disconnecting the linkage to the motor, then if the motor moves, its the wiper arm mechanism thats seized, if not, surely its the motor thats fubar'd.

+1 Plus they aren't "that" comfy to be honest.
