+1000000 Unless your guests are from car circles, they will be very perplexed. I know my grandma would have been asking me questions about why she was sitting on the Beetle table all day frikin' long. Went to quite a few weddings this summer, and the best one's were those that kept it simple as it allowed the couple and the guests to enjoy the day without complication. The worst weddings were those where the couple were constantly trying to make a statement throughout the day (not that I'm saying you are, this is just an generic observation) with different music, different church service format, weird seating plans (one wedding split partners up onto different tables) etc.

You need to buy uprated candles. Try yankee candles - they're much better! :lol: Joking aside, an uprated loom and phillips xtreme bulbs has given me more than enough light for little cost. I'm sure they are brilliant, but xenons are so irritating for other road users I don't think i could bear to fit them. A range rover once forgot to turn off his xenon [strike:25q4mjup]laser[/strike:25q4mjup] main beams and I swear I couldn't see a thing for ages - I had to pull over. Really, xenons have no place outside of a rally stage - admit it, as effective as they are you don't NEED that much light at normal-ish road speeds!!

For me, its that this forum isn't spoiled by "characters" with too much to say, or too many scene points to earn (Edition 38 makes me want to puke). There are also very few chavs. I also like it that there isn't a collective on here 24-7-365 posting thousands of posts a week - people seem to come on, help people out, log off, then get on with real life. Result! :notworthy:

I fitted new suspension a few weekends ago, which has thrown the camber out a little. Mine now pulls to the right, a problem which will be easily fixed by a wheel alignment session. I would rule this potential issue out before investing in a new rack.

I used to work with a girl who used to drive around with her REAR fog lights on all the time because she thought it "looked cool". :brickwall:

Presumably OEM wheels are the domed variety - and that means a full set of bolts needs buying. :( maybe try for a swap with one of the guys in the compomotive group buy thread - they need conical and will currently have radius if they're on standard style wheels Cracking idea, but already bought some today.

Bit of a thread resurrection... The post above mentions domed, not conical nuts... I've got standard BBS solitudes, but the nuts currently on my car are conical? Do I need to buy domed ones, or will the current ones do? Domed Example: Conical Example: Any advice appreciated, David

+1 - My 16v Mk2 Golf did the same and it turned out to be a faulty ignition lead - took me ages to diagnose as the leads were brand new so I ignored them when trying to find the fault! As another idea if all else fails, you could pull the plugs in the morning and shine a light into the cylinders to see if you can see any moisture (fuel or water etc.) on the piston, or dangle a piece of string in and see if it comes out wet - maybe theres a tiny leak, but if there no smoke, I doubt this will be the problem. Just a suggestion.

First off, I would be looking at: Leads Plugs Coil Coil pack or dizzy Relays Earth straps MAF Loose connections I've had the same thing happen to me twice. The first time a spark plug had wriggled loose, the second time I'd driven through a deep puddle and water had splashed my coil pack. Good Luck! David

I was like that with colours, but after starting the viewings/test drives in earnest, I was soon just looking for one that wasn't a) rusty, b) knackered or c) not a million miles away. Colour preference soon went out the window. PS... ice grey is immense in real life!

I drive along holding a full size extinguisher in my left hand with the safety pin pulled. If the oil temp goes above 96 degrees I pull over and let rip all over the engine bay. A new Focus is a better car than a 15yr old Corrado in many ways, but would you ever glance back at a focus after you lock it up for the night. Doubt it. In short, I think its impossible for a petrolhead to have a rational car conversation with someone who regards a car as a transportation device. One of them buys a Corrado, the other buys a Kia Rio.
