Spring clear out time as I have far too much crud lying around the place 1 x BMC CDA (used) about 3000 miles of use on my VR comes with silicone hose to fit onto MAF housing. £80 posted UK - Sold to Kev 1 x set of calipers,288mm hangers and 288mm discs. Basically all you need to upgrade your standard VR's brakes (except for hoses). Calipers will need a scrub and the discs have had only about 4000 miles of use with plenty of life left in them. £55 for the lot if collected, can post but wont be cheap due to weight. 1.8 KR fuel tank no splits or leaks £20 collected but can arrange post at buyers risk. 16v Rear beam including disc's & calipers etc, ideal for a refurb £10 collected as its a tad large to post - Sold to m4ttj4mes Complete set of used shocks & springs from 16v. The Merlin one is for use with the oil/water cooler as I found out when I bought one, unless they do another one now.

Looks like the metal one to me which should come apartwith some gentle persuasion.

Upgraded brakes to 312mm calipers & discs. had a an hours fight with my leaking rad elbow as one of the bolts had rusted in to the fitting but it finally gave in and has been replaced with a Gruven one. Replaced the CDA with the original airbox, not feeling such a chav anymore and car sounds more civilised.

Chill gent's pls. Robbo22sri - I had the hose you are refering to in my samco kit and fitted it without issue. The hole is just to support the damper and not to feed into the hose as you probably know. After a few thousand miles on mine the damper hasn't shown any sign of wear or fatigue so should be good as is.

I have installed a few wireless IP infa red camera's for my old man to monitor his shed's & tools etc. They work in pitch black, have motion sensor activation and take snaps which can be uploaded to an ftp site as well as emailing notifications etc. I'm sure that there are better ones out there but these seem to work quite well for what we need - http://foscam.co.uk/

Paint drive shafts if rusty, replace CV's and boots if worn. if the bumper and slam panel are off for engine removal get in all the nooks and crannys with some waxoyl.

He's right you know and I don't have a clue where that's disapeared to :( It's the same as the golf one so should be a problem though.

Fitted new rear VW badge and refitted the rad shield.

The one ringed is the one on show so is the one to use and not the PCV hose which is S shaped as Robbo22sri has said.

If its a VR which they look like they are I suspect that they are the two breather pipes. Look the same as the samco ones I still have in the box.

As I am such a nice chap and as long as you can 100% promise to have them returned to me in the condition they are currently in you can borrow the set that I have in storage from when I put my Samco's on.

MY kit consisted of 7 hoses for coolant and 2 x breather and no you dont get the oil cooler hoses (well I didn't). May well be worth looking at Roose & SFS as they make some good kit and may be wiling steal a sale away from Samco.

Have you still got the rad heat shield that sits on the slam panel?

Have you checked the points to make sure they all ok? pretty sure a 77 twin still had them at around that time.

Not a clue really but could it be related to the brake pressure valve on the rear beam as you have had all calipers off and the car in the air etc ?? might be worth a go at resetting it.
