I used to use Slick in all the cars I bought, slightly improoved mpg but then again they were cars from years ago. All fords years ago when ran on the bench, ptfe was on all internal metal parts ( I dont know now though) Improovments in engines and oils might have reduced the need for additives, the mitsi I have was always serviced thru the dealer by using castrol GTX and strangely they have gone into magnatec for the last service as I complained about top end noise, they also use a petrol additive every time they service it as they never told anyone its always supposed to be run on super unleaded and if the additive is not used the engines tend to die around 60k (YIKES) :?  just from carbon buildup,I think additives are ok as long as they are used every service, but not as a one off with high milage I have ran a RS turbo totally on stp with no oil at all to shut the main bearings up for a while,I fancy putting redline mt 90 ? in the gearbox if the specialist recommends it like coullstar did with his old motor.

They were 'very' rare when they came out and back then if you saw one you stared at it usually until it went out of sight as they had the awe factor. as for headgaskets Im sure someone could do a custom one somewhere... Insurance is another story :!:

we used to have people trying to blow the cossies up before the warranty expired they tended to trash everything else... usually the B+W gearbox went first then the turbo ( they used to chip them and wonder why they needed competition clutches in a RS500

Overheating 16v - not head gasket (UPDATE: All fixed!)

Check radiator, check thermostat ( just remove it) and run on water and see what happens try 12 volts straight to the fan and see if it goes maybe a thermal switch ? check thermostat by putting in boiling water and see if it moves, check the ° on it to make sure it will open below boiling of course ! usually a number on the head of them. -
can you get it off the ground ? at least leave the handbrake off and keep the petrol low as its a shame to run a car on gone off petrol

I drive all day with side lights on,its not to see but to be seen, its one of the first questions on an insurance claim form 'did you have your lights on' its also to be seen as you drive in wooded areas avoiding the strobing effect of the sun thru the leaves of the trees and avoiding slight blindness of seeing dark areas of the road as for corrado fog lamps they are just that FOG lamps,The driving lamp is the secondary main beam lamp. The headlight loom upgrade improoves the headlights noend any foglights just dazzle the shit out of me  :x then they wonder why People leave thier row of 6 cibie oscars on just to show them what dazzle is 24volt style. I wouldnt leave the taillights on all day as Im a target for cops who think Ive either left them on or know Ive been working before dawn. but they do say to me they know they are on so I can be seen easier front and rear; chubby
