  1. Did you see the prices for headlights $500  :drinking: :cuckoo:
  2. I still have the quantum ones on the back of ours The front ones were removed as they scraped if you went a bit quick into the corners. I paid more for our 16 valver as it had low miles but I know it was worth it as its needed little done for its age. upto to 55k now ach well.....
  3. *lol* theres always the day you wish you had not bought them cheap plastic tyres from durex. I bought the michelins and had to rescue a mate who managed to tip his rangerover over on Ice,the car made it there and back with limited slip. as for winter I have used Gislaved nordfrosts they seem to do the job if they have a little weight over them. The trouble with corrados is everybody wants to race them, gits :-)
  4. The Pirellis are nice but soft from what I can remember I use michelins but Im and old fart now. The family car had continentals on it,suprisingly expensive to replace The michelins have no problems for me. I'd go for the F1's if you have the cash
  5. I bought our corrado from a guy who collects mustangs His wife wouldnt let him buy his fourth without selling the car we bought from him :-)
  6. its all a learning curve, just let it cool next time and remove the filter tip oil out and replace. Do a search on synta silver on here runs nice with it and some places throw in a free oil filter with it at vag dealers
  7. Glad to read the banana man and his banana back on the streets again WTG for sussing its problem chubbers
  8. Its around 3.5-4.0 litres if replacing the oil filter. I'm sure a techy could be more exact, but when using a 5 litre synta can there always seems to be a wee bit left for top ups if required :-)
  9. Gavins quite right, what your really trying to proove is that you wont be able to replace it with the settlement, afterall I'd like to think hes baseing it on last octobers prices ;-/
  10. How about your boot light ? Im surprised it runs as it needs power for fuel pump etc [schild=19 fontcolor=000000 shadowcolor=C0C0C0 shieldshadow=1]Alternator starter battery triangle[/schild]
  11. We have the same problem Its a mk4 upgrade,Ive sorted the Steel braided conversion hoses, cant decide on £60+ for 2nd hand for two or £70 each ish for new ones
  12. Ive read through it Dan and all I can think of is Electrical, I respect what you say about the thermostat, but just the flashy on the dash then the spoiler relay etc makes me think electrical check the fusebox for water/water ingress maybe thats possible after the snow thats been around. Sorry If Im wrong.. Roy
  13. I tried the its up for recall and computer showed nothing outstanding. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  14. I think gradea has it covered prettymuch :-)
  15. Mfa on this one here has been as high as 36 next time Im on a run I'll try and remember and take a photo of it. The car is standard so maybe this helps.
  16. can you smell fuel from the sparkplugs ?
  17. Somthing is up there, on A class roads the usual for us is between 29 + 36 mpg its down to 28 when shes around town the woman doesnt take it over 3,000 rpm tho,she was the same with her golf gti,nae wonder its needs spanking every so often.. I priced a LPG kit, £1000 would cover it,I just couldnt bear letting them cut a hole in the 1/4 panel.
  18. My woman aint bad,but shes never had anything less than a GTi to own. By all means act on other signals such as flashing lights and people waving you on,it does reassure you when you look for yourself as well. its when you see these things going to happen and you think 'No FFS' I spose you have to laugh when shes now what you made me do... Not your fault, you were being a knight of the road... regards
  19. Nice looking Motor welcome to the Forum
  20. Mpg is harder on a g60 in town but if you cant afford the petrol you shouldnt really have one :-) thats how we went and bought a valver. Personally speaking if your going to buy one, buy a good adored one the forsale section has a few G60 lovelies in there I wouldnt mind 8)
  21. I've seen it on a passat, its designed on that one anyway for towing wagons have had the option of air for years 8) forget me this is feckin awesome.... I was gibbering on about factory fit stuff :notworthy:
