MK4 brakes all round/ tools I need are?
chubbybrown replied to biggerbigneil's topic in Suppliers Forum
Sweet !! I had the local vag gibbering partsman saying I needed a newer cable @£8.08 per side  I ordered the mk2-mk4 rear conversion lines from C+R tonight Thanks Henny :notworthy: Just on the case now with regards to the calipers,£75 new with no return req,or go second hand ? -
Im not in the club, the local dealer doesnt support its discount scheme So I donate My £15 to here instead where I can access info as I like from other members of the forum, However I would reconsider in the future if things would change in the future and contribute to the Club too. Just a side thought,I wonder if gsf would give a forum discount if it was asked for ? interesting times... Chubbz

Guys if I do this upgrade to Rear mk4's will I require a newer type handbrake cable as The local expert reckons its longer on the newer model of Corrado. The car is a 89 16valver -
They are only supposed to do 30 mph when gritting. so the coverage is as its supposed to be and so the salt drops to the ground rather being thrown from the vehicle usually @50 mph or so.... Contractors suck at gritting, where as the council up here have the knack chubbz

Have you fitted these yet Gareth ? the wifes car has developed a sticky caliper and I wonder if its time to bite the bullet and go For mk4's

The site the cops use at daviot is situated on a hill thats about 2-3 miles long,Not braggin but I've had transits doing more than that down that hill, thats why the cops sit there. Its the place you see somone go up the arse of the plain traffic car on police camera action ( blue volvo ) escorting the caravan. David hingston is the old Procurator Fiscal ( defending solicitor ) There isnt a specialist up here for at least 100 miles and Imports are very popular up here because of the need for 4*4's on the cheap

It would be a shame to break it. its all I see on Ebay just now ... people breaking corrados and plenty of parts available for them too, it would be better if kept on its feet and painted up -
I do like that colour....
