  2. Welcome along! Where abouts in the country are you? You should get some pics up for us to ogle at:thumbleft:
  3. kerrly also has(had?) a LHD nugget G60
  4. If the charger explodes then some of the metal shrapnel could get into the engine. It would have to go through all the pipes, intercooler etc first though. The damage to the charger would most likely be terminal so you wouldn't be able to get it rebuilt. You can run an engine with a charger with a little modification, but you need to physically remove the old broken charger to do it. Basically run a pipe from the airbox to the IC pipe work, blank off the bypass valve on the bottom of the throttle body and attach the oil feed line to the oil return line. Oh and you'll need a shorter serpentine belt.
  5. Didn't realise there was a post count restriction, I only have 4 posts?? Either way the one I have seen is a brand new stage 4 charger built by RPM in germany. He's got it up for £600. PM me if you want me to give you his number.
  6. There's one over on ed38 for sale at the moment, looks like he is having trouble shifting it. Also your thread title is a little miss leading, I thought you wanted to buy a G60. You'll probably get more views if you amend it :thumbleft:
  7. This came up on here a few weeks ago. I'm not surprised it's still for sale! Horrible paint job, what were they thinking!?
  8. Not sure if submerging them would do much gd. You can get that de-ox in a gel that you could paint on to the rusty bits, not the bearings.
  9. If it's not too much hassle? That would be sweet. Just need a pair of front discs and pads. Nextdaybrakes works out at £91 all in.
  10. Yes please, I'll have a set. PM me payment details please
  11. Parts for replacing the foliage seal (as per the wiki): 535853837 - Sleeve - £0.25 191819616 - Foliage seal - £4.20 535853832A03C - Clip - £0.47
  12. Thats what I thought. Cheaper than VW, local motor factors and equivalent pagid discs from ECP. Just seems unbelievably cheap.....
  13. Has anyone used nextdaybrakes.com? I'm in dire need of some new discs and pads up front, and this place is by far the cheapest. Almost too cheap. Anyone had any good experiences from them Cheers Dom

    G60 setup

A lot more charger whine at high revs when nailing it, still the same at low speed/throttle. The factory outlet acted as a silencer so makes sense that it would be louder

    G60 setup

Yes the RSR should build boost quicker in theory, whether you notice or not is different. I made my own outlet similar to the RSR, couldn't notice any performance increase but really increased the charger noise, in a good way!

    G60 setup

If your going for a stage 4 rebuild then you may as well go down to 68mm to get the most from the charger. You will need a new chip to adjust the fueling for the new pulley. Not sure if you will need to get a shorter belt going from 72 to 68mm, as the original pulley was 78mm so you may already have a shorter one fitted
  17. Saw 2 this morning. First was heading into Bradley Stoke, coming off the Aztec roundabout. Couldn't make out what model it was but think it was burgandy pearl colour. Second one was just heading out of thornbury, M reg. Guess it's because the Volksfest is in town??
  18. Great race this weekend. Such a shame to see the red flag at the end ruin what could have been an amazing finale. I'm usually a big Lewis fan but this weekend he went down a lot in my estimations. He was obviously frustrated after a poor qualy showing but I would have expected him to show a bit more professionalism and maturity. Instead he crashed into Massa, ruined Maldonado's race and generally made a knob of himself in the post race interview. I understand he has to push for the gaps but his moves on Sunday were overly ambitious. Di Resta made similar attempts but at least he held his hands up and admitted his faults rather than blame everybody else but himself.
  19. Well it's my birthday, which means that I've owned my first Corrado for a whole year. Easily the most fun car I've ever owned, and love the rarity and attention they sometimes receive. I've used the car as my daily and it's never left me stranded (touch wood!). Still needs some work but happy to keep spending the money if it keeps rewarding me. Next up could be a stainless exhaust from longlife as they're offering me it for £299. Thought I'd give her a birthday wash with my birthday goodies (snow foamer and drying towel). Just drying in the sun: Here's to another years happy motoring! :thumbleft:
  20. Well I was 2 when my car rolled out of Osnabruck, definitely don't remember seeing any back then!
  21. Same position as you. Owned my G60 for 1 year this weekend. A little 21st birthday present to myself:thumbleft:
  22. Much better race than usual at Barcelona. Good to see that Red Bull aren't untouchable, and provided a gripping end to the race to see if Lewis could take Vettel. Looking forward to Monaco where Red Bulls aero advantage should be less important
  23. You'll need adaptor hoses too ;)
  24. Yes as the bolts are on a different PCD.130 instead of 100mm
