  1. The one I saw was round the back of the tyre depot on Gypsy Patch Lane so maybe one of those
  2. First ever chuftie this morning. Went to halfords to see if they had any suitable exhaust rubbers (optimistic I know). Walk back over to my car to check the fit and a bloke walks over to my car for a nose. He's got a Mk2 GTi and said my car looked very nice and asked if it was a G60. Nice to see someone else who appreciates these cars, shame it was so filthy!
  3. Absolutely love these cars. Saw one the other day for the first time in ages. Looked into them on the net and they are very pricey!! Didn't realise they were that rare

    Best way to go

Depends what your after? Removing the side strips and fitting clear indicator repeaters neatens things up a bit I think. Some people go for smoked/clear rear lights but I think these are a bit naff. Each to their own really
  5. Get some G60 carriers. Will allow you to run 280mm discs with your existing calipers iirc. Or full caliper and carrier sets can be found second hand for around 100 quid
  6. Got some issues of Practical Performance Car for sale on ebay atm in case anybody reads it: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/sk83k/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25
  7. Exactly the same here. My renewal stayed the same but still £400 cheaper than anywhere else!
  8. Maybe it's a sign your running too low  Looks nice otherwise. Any damage to the crank?
  9. Thought this might have been me as I quickly read the first part in the news feed. Good to know there are more G60s about Bristol though

    brake set up

Not sure about the fitment, I'm sure you would need additional brackets/adaptors though. Seems a shame to keep standard sized discs (280/288mm?) with such large calipers. You may as well go 300mm+ as you'll need big wheels for the calipers to fit under. For turbo VR kit info check out the vr6 forced induction kit here
  11. I can easily get 35mpg on a run, but self restraint is key! If you could eek it to 35mpg your more likely to spend £350 per month on fuel. Still significant, but you must have known this before you bought it?
  12. Should be possible, in the same way you can get 5x130 adaptors. They would have to be quote thick though so would decrease your offset a fair bit. Ok for Porsche wheels with a high ET but probably give a lot of wheel poke on some wheels
  13. Here's some quick pics I took whilst away in Dorset at the weekend. Looking a little unloved after the drive down and being parked under a blossom tree.
  14. Is it louder when steering on full lock? could be the CV joint, but they tend to click. When possible its worth jacking the car up and looking for any play in the bushes, top mounts and ball joints
  15. VW are pricey, but come with a 2 year warranty IIRC
  16. Well speedos have to over-read by law (I think), so you may well get away with it even if they did zap you
  17. If its your first offence they may well offer you the course, depends how 'severe' they deem your speeding.
  18. I still can't understand this craze at all. Even if it looks better (not imo) you've got skinnier tyres, worse handling, more chance of kerbing wheels and it's pretty sketchy
  19. My 1991 G60 has the buzzer, when running on minimum on the dipstick I get a buzz when going around corners quickly. Not very gd when the oil pump sucks up fresh air!
  20. See this thread about FK stuff: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?55385-Bloody-Coilovers-are-knackered-!!!!!-Anyone-refurbed-Konigsports-before I was in a similar position to you, but opted for a second hand pair of shocks and springs. Got Koni Top-adjustables for £80. They never were going to set the world alight, but they are a damn sight better than my original setup, and my car is now 40mm lower.
  21. Its located just on top of the oil cooler, where the oil pressure switch is. Should have a green/black wire coming out of it. Assuming its a G60??
  22. After an eye watering £65 fill up I decided I would take it easy this afternoon on a short trip back through the country. Managed some good mpg but jeeez it was one slow journey!
  23. I think VOSA charge a minimum of £39, but garages can sell it for less absorbing the loss themselves. Gets more people in the garage, but makes you wonder if they look for niggly things just to charge you labour and make some profit. EDIT: Actually according to this there is a maximum charge, but no minimum
  24. Been a good weekend for corrado spotting so far. Blue M reg heading Eastbound on the M4 around Chippenham. I was in the Black G60 that flashed you and exchanged waves Ice Violet (maybe?) L*** VGT VR6 parked on Olney high street. Aftermarket exhaust and alloys, Lupo wipers.
  25. Not sure on the difference as I said, but glad to hear it arrived safe!
