Two more today... Stopped outside my house by a guy who used to own a scirocco (he travelled across the US with it). Also stopped outside Screwfix by someone who hadn't seen one in years.
-
I had yet another one today... while sat at some traffic lights with the sunroof open a lorry pulls up next to me. He leans out of the cab window and calls down through the sunroof "You look after her mate, she's beautiful" :)

Another one today as a couple of guys came over to chat about the car as I was filling it with petrol. They hadn't seen one in years but knew what it was, even down to the engine and loved it. My daughter commented a couple of days ago how we are always looked at when we are in the Corrado.

Looks great. Wish I could have made it.

I'll have a go, in order of pain... Broken nose Broken leg Testicle removed (cancer) Biopsy on the other testicle (cancer again) Two kidney stones (they were the worst out of all of them)

Thanks for the heads-up. No point in getting upset about it and it doesn't look bad unless you look closely. As long as they fix it properly then that's fine. They are my regular garage so I know them well and they often have unusual cars there (Golf Rallye today, other Corrado's, a DeLorean occasionally) so I think it will end up fine.

I far prefer the forums over FB. I just don't use FB for anything. I used to be quite a prolific poster here but I only occasionally pop in now. I still have the Corrado but life has been insanely busy the last few years and I simply don't have the time to go to shows or other meets much. So my activity on the forum has also slowed.

Grey L188 *** VR6 with a red VR6 badge at SE Autoworks in Guildford today. I was having mine MOT'd there and had to do a double take as I thought it was mine at first.
-
Passed the MOT once again :) ...then while the garage were bringing the car to me they reversed into a sign, denting the bumper :( They will be replacing or fixing it though.

I forgot to post this a couple of Thursday's ago (8th March); Blue Corrado of unknown type driving through Esher High street at about 5:55pm.

Surrey here so Kentr is fine. Interested depending on dates.

I had a chuftie today to cheer me up after an awful day. My wife damaged the wheel (and possibly suspension) of the Golf in the snow today. I don't want anyone to drive it until it's been fixed and checked for further damage. So I collected my daughter from the school coach stop this afternoon in the Corrado. While I'm parked waiting a young guy, young 20's, returns to his own car. Before he got in he came over and knowcked on the window, asked how old it was, said he loved it and that Corrad's were one of his favourite cars. I was surprised he knew what it was and it's certainly older than him. So overall a crap day but a nice chuftie in the snow.

Not been on the site for a while so thought I'd pop by and see what's happening. Mine is definitely worth it. t's not a stunning example by any means but it's also not a poor example. I've lost the love a little and don't have much motivation to drive it at the moment, partly because I have lot of other stress going on in my life at the moment. But on the rare occasions I do drive it I have a huge smile across my face for the entire journey. Currently it's sitting in the garage, dusty, unused, but still very much loved whenever I go in there. I also love that smell they have inside when you open the door.

47 and 10 months :)

That's a real shame. But good luck with whatever you buy next.

Life is short. I've seen too many people around me die and even been seriously ill myself in 2011 to not realise that you get one chance at this life. It's better to try and risk failure than to regret never trying it. Go for it!
-
A bit late to the party as had some relationship issues recently taking priority. But merry Christmas everyone.
-
I'm still here. I've been very quiet recently due to work and home issues. But I still have mine tucked away in the garage. I drove it probably around three times this year though :( I must use it more in 2017.
-
Thanks. The mechanic commented how rare they are getting now (and they often have older VW's there, which is why I use them).

Lovely!

I have a Polish builder working on the bathroom. My wife let him into the garage yesterday to get something and he said he used to own one. When he arrived today one of the first things he said was how much he loved my car :)

I didn't have much time to read it but the Corrado was in Classic Cars as one of Quentin Willson's "smart buys of 2016". There seems to be a momentum of articles building.
