Oz ultraleggeras 7x16 - Like the look of those :ubergeek:

London Boulevard - Good if you like that sort of gangster "farkin carnt" flick with shooters, gratuitous violence etc, but not a classic. But I did like the ending 5/10

£4k for mine, neeeeeeeever going to happen though.

I get the steering wheel squeaking sometimes - I think it is only when the adjustable column height is fully up though.

The Hurt Locker - US bomb disposal team in Iraq, won oscars, an enjoyable 7/10 Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps - some nice touches with several characters from the original back to add some extra "Oh yeah, remember him/her" moments, 6/10 I am number 4 - good fun, but cheesy at the end, 5/10 17 Again - Zac Efron / Matthew Perry middle aged man transformed back into his high school cool self. Thomas Lennon steals the show. Good fun, always makes me laugh and some good tunes in there too (Bust a move (Young MC), Naive (The Kooks), On my own (Vincent Vincent and the Villains) - 7/10 if a little :camp:

Caught a bit of the VW Racing Cup on Motors TV today - http://www.vw-cup.co.uk/cars.htm "Open to any model of racing Volkswagen, the Cup has attracted drivers of the Beetle RSi, Corrado, Vento & Golf VR6, Golf GTI of every generation, Polo, Lupo and Bora models and of course, the fantastic Caddy Van." Was great to see this mix of dubs flying around and in amongst the MK5 and 6 GTIs there was the Corrado! Shame it was being beaten by the Beetle 3.2 RSi

Welcome along - sounds like an interesting project. Purple Tom has done a TDi conversion I believe, so worth having a nose at his build thread. On first view of your post I thought you were putting the 3 litre Q7 engine in - I thought that might be fun to see! -
Welcome to the forum. The G60 versus VR6 debate has raged for years. I wanted the VR6 because I wanted cubes, like a six cylinder and was a bit wimpy about charger rebuild problems etc. There are many owners of both who love them dearly and won't hear a bad word said. They make power in different ways (I imagine) and make great but different sound when giving it the beans. Buy the best one you can afford - year is less important than condition / history. There are some great buyers guides on here (use the search) that are really helpful. Corrados are not cheap and it's advisable to be a handy mechanic!

Have a look here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?58325-MFA-2-Fuel-Economy-What-is-your-reading Healthy VR6s seem to deliver mid 20 upwards - a lot depending on the driving conditions and style. Mine has had some new bits recently (MAF and Lambda sensor) that have pushed the regular around town number up from 23 ish to 28 ish and the figure on a longer run is low 30s now.

Not my advert, a mere £850! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORRADO-G60-SET-4-BBS-ALLOYS-191601025AE-GENUINE-NEW-/350493906160

I went from a 10 year old 1.6 Golf to my Corrado. The Golf was perfect for what I needed - it had depreciated to being worth about £2.5k and wasn't going to drop very fast, it had been in the family from new, regular VAG servicing, economical etc etc but it wasn't what I wanted. I wanted something a bit more exciting and a bit different. The C was just that and cost a little bit more than I got for the Golf, taken out of my monthly cashflow, a couple of months not buying general rubbish or going on the lash and it was paid for. If I had bought a 55 plate Golf GTI or R32, Audi S3 etc etc I would have taken out a bank loan and been paying a few hundred per month for 3 years. At the end of which I'd have ""lost" half the value of the car and ended up closer to the value of the corrado. Of course I have probably spent the same money on the upgrade / maintenance I have done on the Corrado and probably maintained it's value accordingly. As long as I can keep it for a couple more years without POURING too much more into it I will be "ahead of the game" compared to the alternative. I'd love to get it resprayed but I know that would be money I'd never see again. I can deal with spending £500 once a quarter for something like a new exhaust etc and nothing else for a month or two but I think my wallet would clam up at the cost of a decent respray.

Even at £400? That says quite a lot about the overall condition. -

With a breaking thread perhaps? -
025 906 041 A was the part number for my 1993 VR6 but I have a coil pack - I replaced my BTS recently (although it made no difference so probably the old one was still fine)
