  1. Sounds like your Corrados are ganging up on you!
  2. I'd love this but a) you are HUNDREDS of miles away b) not sure how beige would look with my grey headlining c) I should probably spend the next slug of cash on paintwork d) times are hard for everyone Apart from that I'm in the market!
  3. Always wondered how much this would cost both in terms of donor engine and labour. Would you mind sharing that info either on this thread or by PM?
  4. A sad day indeed. I reckon the Official Factory Repair Manual pictured with the service history would be worth upwards of £50 on it's own!
  5. Welcome along! :worthless: Let's see what you've got!
  6. I was waiting to hear the C word too! Was amazed by that Merc for less than seven grand.
  7. I read a lot about water pumps on here. Do they just let go in a cloud of steam or are there tell tale warning signs over time? I'm quite happy to replace important bits when they need it.

  9. Thanks for the tip! Just need to muster the enthusiasm to have a look, it's only a foglight after all.
  10. I wonder what that would look like in my Flash Red VR6 . . . .
  11. Some feedback from a potential buyer. £400 does sound reasonable (very reasonable if you have a grey interior like I do). Things that have prevented me PMing you 1 - You're a bit far from me (I'm in Surrey) 2 - You say "they could do with a good goin over with leather cleaner to treat them" - if that was already done and they gleamed then that would be a good thing 3 - You say there are impressions on the seats from storage. Very honest of you and that is to be applauded but makes you wonder how bad they look. 4 - pictures are a bit crap 5 - times are hard and it's summer holiday time with that expense If you were close to me I'd probably come round have a look have a chat, try to persuade you to take my clothe interior in PX and help me swap them over.
  12. That has made my day! And on the topic at hand, I went through the same thing with motorbikes - bought one, spent money on it, rode it a bit, rode it less often, flogged it, missed it, bought another one etc. Then I saw the light and was able to get rid of the last bike and my Golf 1.6 which was my mum's from new and a brilliant car, mad to sell it, worth more to me because I knew it from new . . . . and bought the Corrado. It does what I need to - it's reasonably reliable transport - and it is a bit different, fun and fast (within reason). Do I miss the motorbikes - absolutely! Can I justify getting another one? Not really. Might I get one in future? Never say never. I say sell it on with good grace and remember it fondly. Get something similar in future when you can afford it. Do not keep it and resent it or beat yourself up for using it and spoiling it. I have less Corrado experience than many on here but buying a cheaper Corrado just leaves more scope to throw money at it. Money you probably will not have anyway. If you love your Corrado, set it free.
  13. DIGGERB had porsche seats in his VR6 - give him a nudge.
  14. Ah - good idea! Thanks I'll give that a go!
  15. I'll get back out there and test bulbs back and forth between both lights. I barely ever use them either but it's one of those things that gnaws away at me knowing that only one of them works! ---------- Post added at 04:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:06 PM ---------- Right - All bulbs work in one fog light and no bulbs work in the other one. So, me thinks there must be something wrong with the wiring. I have no multi meter but if I got one what am I looking for?
  16. One fog light has not worked for ages. I decide to change the bulb - easy right? Oh no this is a Corrado remember! So of course the fog light cluster screws are totally rusted up. :bonk:I eventually get that resolved. Get the cluster out, unclip the clips whip out the old bulb stick the new bulb in, reassemble, stick the lights and . . . nothing. :epicfail: The other one works. Time for a cup of tea!
  17. If it sells for that I'll be selling mine!
  18. Do we PM you our club card number?
  19. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-VR6-GREEN-STORM-/220802647150?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3368dd046e opening up at £3,500 with no reserve could (just could) land you a stunning car. (Tempted myself!)
  20. For that money you would want it to be MINT and have had a few bits done. I bought a VR6 with about 70k miles on the clock and have spent PLENTY on it. If it's had chains/guides done, has decent history and has had some other component upgrades then it might be worth it. Miles are low for the year but it'll still need plenty of bits replaced if they haven't already been done. Suspension of probably a bit tired by now etc. Doesn't mention leather either which suggests it hasn't got it. I suspect you can get better value by buying from someone on here - have a look in the for sale section - you'll find a Storm on here for similar cash, a VR6 with similar miles but with a Schrick manifold. Plenty about to rival TCS.
  21. http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2890 is a great write up. I bought the last 3 rollers from Alex G60 but doubt I'll get around to fitting them so you can have them for the £9 I paid for them.
