  2. Morning folks, Sorry for being Lazy and not checking through the entire thread :( . I've just bought an AGU engine with gearbox, ECU, Manifold &cat, and a lot of other ancillaries. Question 1 - How did you folks mount your engine? Question 2 - Can I mate up my 2.0l 9a drive shafts up to the Mk4 gearbox? And finally (for now) - Where is the best place to buy the immobiliser defeat? Thanks in advance, Andy

I used a sunroof from a Mk2 seat ibiza Mate ;). Got it for around £25 from ebay 8)
  6. Whereabouts are you fella? I don't have a blue one but I do have a pearl green one for £20 collected from derbyshire ;)
  7. Cheers Matt, not sure yet. Got a lot of work on at the minute so I'm gonna have to decide closer to the time (not that I've got long :( ). You going to the meet on Wednesday??
  8. Had the motor detailed by a local guy today 8) Shame it wont stay this clean :(
  9. As promised :D Made my own bracket in the end ;)
  10. If you still need one Mate I have a green pearl one spare (just the bare plastic) you can come get for £20 ;)
  11. Right, a bit of an update ;) Got given a spare front bumper so the old mind started going :D I cut the numberplate recess out, got the soldering iron out and melted it into it's new place 8) I then started applying some filler ;) Smoothed it over and sent it off for a bit of a colour match While it was there I measured up and made mesen a little bracket at work ;) Then I got the bumper back today 8) Took the old one off..... And popped the new one on You can just see the little bracket under the bumper. And then spoilt it by putting the numberplate back on :( Only 2x cuts and a burnt finger too 8)
  12. Aaaaaah, didn't realise you had beige leather. I think Pete's Idea is a good one for the tweeters, I thought of this myself but only after buying the components and they were the wrong type to mount that way :(.
  13. I have this head unit Mate ;) The main reason I wanted it was the display colour to go with the factory lighting. When I replaced my dash, therewas only one tweeter in there and it wasn't connected and so, with the speaker grills being quite restrictive in the dash I decided to install some component speakers in the door cards. As for the sub/amp, as I don't have rear seats, this gave me room to add a shallow fit sub & some 6x9's . I lined the original seat base with dynomat and ported the shelf I had made . Aquired a cargo net from a Peugeot 206 and I still have a boot (of sorts :D )

    Rally lights

I bought a loom from here off VR6. A good quality, expensive one and apart from water damage in one of the relays because of where I mounted it at first, absolutely fine 8). Just make sure you buy the best quality one you can ;). They will make your lights do this 8) (before I fitted the xenon bulbs!!)

    Rally lights

I run standard lights with an uprated loom and Xenon bulbs and they are great 8) Apart from my eyeballs being the same height as everyone elses headlights :(
  16. Yeah, that would have been the Missus...............she wasn't too impressed with the weather :D
  17. I can just see mine tucked away in the background in one of your pics :D
  18. I'm with brentacre, beat my last years premium by nearly £350 8)
  19. The location of this is fantastic 8), a nice mix of air cooled & watercooled. Autojumble could do with being a little bigger but other than that a very nice show. 1 tip though. Have a big breakfast before you set off and take either a flask or some bottled water as they really know how to charge for those things!!!!

    Fuel pump

I would check that you have power to both pumps before you go spending a lot of money, mine had a bodge job of a wiring loom for the fuelling and found that there was no powefr to the lift pump which made the underside pump noisy as it struggled for fuel and would eventually stop. Would start again after a short while but would happen again a few days later. Worth a look ;)
  21. Ah right, well I may as well paint the bumper iron whilst it's off :D
  22. Afternoon folks, Done a little search on here but not really got the answers I was looking for. I am wanting to change my front bumper next week but I only want to replace the plastic part as the bumper iron is OK. My question is, can you replace the plastic part of the bumper without taking the front bumper off completely?? Thanks in advance, Andy
