Great news on your pass too then Ray . Yeah it seems common Rog , I had the same advisory 3 MOT's back , not mentioned last year though ! . I suppose when you do as little mileage as me , your not really wearing it out much .

I agree the job has to be taken seriously . We can't have death traps on the road . But yeah they do go over board sometimes pulling minor stuff and yeah they get a bit umpty when they don't make any extra dough , to put things right , especially when you say it's ok I can do it myself !

And it's a pass . Had an advisory on a rear wheel bearing . All bearings will be done with the underside refurb anyway . Happy days . Now have to go in to battle with the insurance company's , trying to find a good deal . Rob

I will give HIC a call towards the end of April I think . I'm 45 years old . Mine has always been on a classic policy , so the only no claims I have are on the T4 ins .

Hi Jim , I'm with Performance Direct and pay around £280.00 . I can never beat it , but will be trying harder this year . I can't understand it either , I have a good post code , no convictions , nothing . Yet when this question pops up I see chaps , younger than me with more mods and cheaper ins ! . Mine is a classic policy , 2k miles a year . I went to insure the T4 last year same company as a mate , we have the same van , postcode and age , the only difference ? He has 6 points , yep you guessed it , his ins was cheaper ! . Made up as they go along I'm sure of it .

What did they do , throw it on the van !!? . Hope you get this sorted .

Not much of an update really [bummer] . She goes in for the MOT tomorrow , she should go straight through . In the 7 years i have owned the car i have had only one advisory. All my underside parts are still bulging out of my shed [its not a big shed]. Im hoping to send the rear beam off this month to be powder coated .Lack of funds have been stopping me from sorting out my project of the underneath . Regards Rob

Two of the things i need to sort out . My exhaust knocks its really annoying , when i finaly get enough money to finish the underside , i will sort it then . As for the suspension im stuck with it , even on soft setting it seems harsh .

There are a lot more plain camera vans around now to catch the tax dodgers . I went past one the other day , geezer sat in the van reading the paper , while the computer beeps and sends the offenders details to the DVLA . I thought I would Apply for that job !
