I have looked in the manual , proberbly right in front of my face ! , claening isv again tomorrow and all electrics ,the stalling is getting worse and the revs keep going up and down . ive cleaned it out before , have new spark plugs , dizzy and hallsender ,cleaned all the ecu conections and other components . That was a while back ,so going to sort it tomorrow ,spose its worth checking vac hoses for small splits as well . The car has a great spark and no fuel worries . Rob

These mounts are no longer available , another part bites the dust . Going to make something up today .

In the spring , the reason i mentioned it was i had a clicking on my t4 and that was what it was , but it only did it on acceleration , you could here it . I have just replaced the steering rack on it as well but it was the symptons i explained above there was no clicking .I would also try jacking the car up and hold the wheel either side , give it a good pulling and pushing motion from side to side , check for movement there .

Not sure if it would be the steering rack , these normaly tend to leak pas fluid when on the way out ,as the seals leak , making the steering very tight and juddery .Have a look at the coilovers again , if theres a crack in one that would make a clicking sound ,it would also do it when you accelerate , try coasting with the window open then accelerate can you here it clicking then ?

Hi all , i fitted a new polybush mount today . It does not look like my metal mount on the body is oem , think someone has made a mount as the old one must have broken in the past . So after some grunting ,pulling and shoving i got it on . But the exhaust looks a little to close to the valance to me and im worried that when it gets hot its going to damage the paint . I cannot fault performance direct , i have a classic ins with them , ltd mileage and comes in at £232.00 . The car has mods as well, also have an agreed value of £5500 .I am over 40 though ,dont forget you cant build a no claims on a classic policy . Rob

Mine arrived today , amazing stuff , cant believe the end result , one question though , i did look at their site to find out what the small bottle was for ?. Could not find it , ,it says permanant trim restorer , is this a final solution to put on the top of the trim restorer ? Rob

Hi mate car 99% of the time runs great , have been thinking bout converting to ob2 as it cuts out all ob1 problems . Mine sometimes stalls because of the idle and can sometimes drop in revs ,but is good most of the time . I have cleaned it a while back and will do it again at the weekend . Mine is a weekend car and is driven as often as i can , dont think it helps not doing many miles in it ,they need to be driven properly really .The beamer was the 325i i think , i have the mag in the loft .Rob

Got a few problems with isv too , anywho , the ticking you can here from cold will be the tappets , they are hydraulic , so they do tap until the oil reaches them .

Sorry to be a pain but do you have a pic of the rear exhaust mount ?, the one i found is a funny shape ,not sure its right .Cant find the halfords one online .Thanks in advance Rob

Its the piece That the boot spring popper closes on to , it sits in the plastic that covers the bodywork between the lights . Hope this is not to cryptic lol! edit .. just to the left of the lock catch .
