Well as i have a spare badge i am going to have a go at cutting the back right off , so i can get it to sit flush .

A vr driven carefully can produce a good mpg, traffic and town are going to be a bit higher of course . Also if its serviced and looked after it will be in your favour . I got 38mpg on a long run at 70 mph . As long as you dont boot it [well every now and again goes without saying lol], you should be ok, its a given it wont be as good on fuel as a valver , but hey you will be driving a vr .

Had a look today , im not sure about the vw badge ,even with the tabs off it seems to stick out ?

I always thought 12.7 was fine ? do you want a lighter instead of matches wullie ?

Found my brochure !, and obviously agree with cazza and bill , lucky i have a chrome rear vw badge , Found a corrado script on fleebay for a tenner , and i know someone who has a red vr badge ,if its gone i will get my chrome one painted , thanks again Rob

Thanks for help guys , right i will be om the lookout for red vr6 badge as the one that was on there was chrome , my corrado badge is broken so will need that one too , at least my vw one is colour coded

Cant remember how to edit title [numpty] ,no bollockins please mods !. one more question , did all badges come in either chrome effect , or colour coded, or a bit of both ?. I have a mixture of both at home . Been looking at our lovely cars in the gallery but still dont know whats oem or changed . looked at brochures on ebay but they only show the front not the rear and my brochure of the rado is at my mums in the loft atm . I had a full mask because i had a respray , to be honest it marked the bonnet , rather not use one now .

The vw badge has the tabs on it , spose if i use the trim tape on that it will be fine , thanks for reply .Another thing , were all corrado script badges colour coded ? or did they come in chrome effect as well, , my vr6 badge is chrome effect , sript is coded , i also have vw badge coded and chrome effect . Hi all , about 18 months back i had my car repainted , as well as having the weldlines welded and filled i decided to debadge it as well . I want to refit the badges now ,you know what its like , you do one thing then 2 years later you change it again , i know the holes should be re-drilled but i would crap myself doing this !. I spose the only way would be to let my local painter do it ?. I have two other vr's that are very close to me so getting the measurements would not be a problem , only other way is to stick them on ? but that would look bad wouldn't it ? . Any advice would be appreciated thanks . Rob

I know things would be boring if we all did the same to our cars , but personaly i could not mess around with my car like that , a few body mods great , standard great , just my little opinion .

Must be just the superb corrado wireing , im going to see if mine is the same at the weekend . Would have thought if you drop RW1 a pm he would have the answer as he is great at this sort of thing , that guy is like morris mcwhirter with corrado's !

Your right it would be a mission now . Cleaning around them used to be a pain, and it does look nice all smooth and neat , but i was only saying to matt vr and robbie the other day about putting them back on . I really love the look of a corrado with a few subtle body mods , i have only altered a few things on mine , but i do keep thinking about the rear badges now .

Well done for saving her , as above , this is a great forum with alot of very knowledgeable people, some of the stuff done to our beloved corrado on here is amazing , they end up finished and looking cleaner than when they came off the production line . Good luck with your rado .

Also had door handles coded , the one thing i did which im not sure of now was to de-badge the rear , i could always put them back i spose .

Had a full respray last year , best thing to do , i also had the mirrors coded , bump strips removed , no plate plinth coded and rear end lines welded and filled .

Some major work going on there ,hats off to you mate

Really hope im not to late for this , i will pay double for one off of someone else who has been greedy enough to order 10 or more sets , also i would like mine painted in pink so mine stands out better than the rest , is this extra ?

Just got mine back on the road and noticed my dash is dim , im positive it was never like it before , i changed mine from green to red with the stuff from maplins a while back .

Hi , just done a search because my fuel gadge has decided to start going up and down on braking and hills etc , i know it will differ on hills but its going up and down very quickly , i think i need the arm , which is the sender ?. Could do with a part no for it please , thanks .Rob

Do a search and have a look whats in there Aid , plenty of stuff in there , usual suspects are the wireing in passenger side door , leaks etc . Rob
