God i can remember when i did mine [sold on now ]. What are you using to take the old dye off with mate ?.looks very gunky. Cant remember what i used some sort of spirit ,i forget the name .

I'm not much help saying this but i do agree with all the posted comments . Have you thought about waiting ,biding your time and looking for something that does not come up for sale much ?. Having said that you could be waiting a long time !! lol . But was thinking along the lines of the g60 jet . These like the golf rallye only came in left hand drive and were not imported to england but they are around in this country . They had the leather purple seats as well . Or look out for a g60 in nugget . Just a thought .Rob

I swapped from cloth to leather a few years back now .Think it looks so much better . I have cream or beige as its sometimes called , i used to have black leather but the oppotunity came up and i took it and sold the black. Cloth can look very nice as well ,i do like the black. Leather is becoming more rare now and prices do vary , but they do come up for less than £700.00. Recaro will always be alot more, mabe its just me ? overated in my opinion ,think you are payin shed loads for the name .I had porka front seats which were said to be just as comfy as the recaro's , they held you very well . But i wanted to go more oem and they were a tight fit .

Not thick at all ,we all have to start somewhere with rado's . Thats the beauty of this forum ,you never stop learning about them .There are people on here that know them inside out , and the search as always is your friend .

Auto glym high definition wax is exellent, not cheap but it goes on n on ,it comes with two applicaters [little round pads].Use micro fibre to polish off. maguires detail spray is a must .As above never use a sponge always a mit ,sponges make swirls in the paintwork . I always use a micro fibre towel to dry after a wash as well .

A little update , er in doors has spoken and has convinced me not to sell ,as well as matt and robbie r32. im going to sorn it and store in the garage .That and i signed up to pistonheads and could not bring meself to do the add lol. Judging by the prices on pistonheads atm think its the best thing to do ,seen as you can pick up a storm for 3.500k !, i wanted more than that for mine . Work has picked up as well , just got to hang in there. Rob

The time has come to sell my loverly vr . To sum it all up ,i can no longer run my van and a weekend car . Being selfemployed has really taken its toll over the last few years and my old van gave up on me ,so i had to borrow the money to buy another [at least its a t4 lol]. I have been talking to other forum members for a while now , do ,dont i , routine . Have been thinking long n hard and have made the decision that she has to go . I am not a happy bunny , if i was bored or wanted something else it would be different ,but im not ,i love my corrado and being forced to sell it is a massive bummer .The tax runs out this weekend and ins in april , so this weekend will be my last drive .Will give her a good wash, polish and wax for the for sale pics ,to go on here on saturday .Unless me numbers come up on the premium bonds !. This is not meant to be some sort of sympathy post , hey sh$t happends . Just thought id share me predicament with like minded people . Rob .

There are two or three places to go . DG autotec ,believe they are still going ?, someone will name the other two . The engine will be more responsive , fuel consumption will be better as well. When they remap ,the vagcom is conected, they adjust the engine to run the best it can ,ie running to rich or whatever ,they can sought it . Well worth doing anyway .Rob
