  2. yea would be good will get in contact with the others and see what we can arrange . fans still not running right either , cutting in at 83 ,but not cutting out . has to be the rad sender i think
  3. last saturday i bought new temp senders , only two out of three were the right ones . then im driving up the road and the temp light starts flashing , i had accidently left a rubber seal inside so with the new one it had two ! the pressure sent it flying out of the housing along with water and coolant .i checked them today to see if everything was fine and it was, but i knocked the cover off the engine and for got it, let the car warm up and the stench of burning plastic was rank it had fallen onto the exhaust . i have just picked my kids up for the weekend and curbed my brand new compomotives on the front wheel . they say bad things come in threes i hope thats my lot .
  4. need to get a screwdriver behind it [with a rag on the end to protect plastic ] they are very tight but will pull off .
  5. as above please ,i have tried tps , got sent the wrong ones . they cant find the ones for my 92 vr . vw did the same to a mate . tried looking online , they have all cooling parts but these ?. regards rob . edit have found them on cooling thread thanks .

  7. coming on well , looks like you got a real bargain there . i was looking for a while for a diecast but they were to much .be nice to see the finished model.
  8. am i missing something !!!??!.. ive just been on the modified car ins sites ,no where near what i have been quoted , the highest one was over 9000 large !!!lol what planet are the donkey brains on ? think i will stick to perfomance direct . edit i should have known better i remember a gezzer on a local forum bein quoted 10,000 large for a golf rally

  10. yep i agree ,i think someone said it already , that its easier to put up our ins than mess around with court stuff and fines for the people that dont bother or make mickey mouse claims . if i was in charge i would hand out a two year sentence for no ins .
  11. well just got my insurance through from performance direct ,last year i paid £196 this year its come in at £279!! and thats the cheapest i can get . not happy at all i hate insurance companys .

  13. tried to replace temp senders failed because they are the wrong ones . tried to do front wheel bearings again sent wrong ones . did however change gearbox oil . thanks tps 1 out of 3 !
  14. ok i bought three new senders from tps , when i went to fit them i realised i had one with a two pin plug and the other two had four pins . my 92 vr has the black plug as a two pin , the middle one is a two pin and the yellow is a four pin . i rang tps and he said the computer is showing my set up as a different car . spoke to mattvr on here his is the same as mine . tps said take out the sender and let us have the part number, but there is no number on them ?. there are part numbers on the plugs but tps said they are not the ones they need . can someone help me out here ? thanks and kind regards rob .

  17. i have front and rear pads brand new in the box , not red stuff though. they are a.t.e pads . but hey they are new !
  18. not sure about that mate ? would not have thought they would change something like that. proberbly the same all the way through production . sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong ,regards rob .
  19. hey bud , where the circlip is on the gaiter, underneath that there is some alankey bolts , very small ones . unscrew them and it will come off . regards rob.
  20. are we talking the u shaped part that is bolted to the bodywork ? if so yes i have one , regards rob
