I know Gaz [emoji4]. If I can use my mates garage I can get stuff done . It’s not much fun on a drive way with no where to put all the parts . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Next up will be the interior. Still not happy with it really . The leather is looking a bit grubby in places , still looking nice , perhaps I’m being a bit picky ?. I’m still undecided on the new carpet, I don’t go a bundle on the join to be honest, so I may well be on the lookout for an OEM carpet and chuck the new one . I may well get some help in with the door rod plastics that join the rods, they seem to tight and twisted to me , the pins come up at a funny angle . Other than that it’s the usual little rattles from the front speakers and the like . The sun roof rattles over bumps too which drives me nuts . I also need to have a look and just check the wax oil on the underside it was very difficult to get to it when the car is on axel stands on the drive .

I was able to get into my mates garage today and sort out the small rust patch on the top of the door , under the rubber . I went over it with grinding stone and then a wire wheel . I then applied Jenolite as per the instructions. I’ve left it with the primer on to dry and will pop back in the evenings to apply the colour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[emoji4][emoji4], I say the same every time I lift a bag of sand or plaster, I’m sure they fill it with an extra couple of kg’s [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s always the same when this sort of post comes up . Not all of us but a lot of us wish we were doing someone else’s job . Self employment is great don’t get me wrong. But there’s no pension, unless you can afford it , when I go on holiday, no one pays that weeks wages , no sick pay , etc . Plastering is for the young lads , when you hit 49 you know about it believe me, same as most wet trades . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have very basic plumbing skills , I have to have them . When your damp proofing and hacking off old walls you tend to hit a few pipes that some bright person has buried in a wall in some random place . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks chaps , it ain’t rocket science though. Just practice. I suppose it’s like any job , when you do the same thing every day, for god knows how many years it gets a little boring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just plastering and damp proofing here , nothing special , should have tried harder in school .

I can vouch for that . Struggling to remove the underside of a car on the drive when it’s on stands is not something I would do again [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes . It’s basically what Rog told me to do . I think it’s water ingress . I’ve sprayed it with contact cleaner and left it for now as it’s dark . I may as well replace the other two relays as well . Thanks Cressa . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
