  1. I get most of my stuff from Heritage now , I got my wishbones from them . They are so helpful . The only problems I have had , is ive been sent MK2 Golf parts a few times. I.E. , front disc guards and rear stub axle covers .
  2. The car looks fantastic, coupled with a very good write up . Great read .
  3. The pope . That's a real big deal . Bet you can't move for security.
  4. Great work Sean . Will be lovely when your done . I would have liked to have done this myself, but it was hard enough doing what I did to the underside on a drive way let alone stripping the protection off as well. I thought mine was in great condition and removed any of the flaky stuff and treated it with underside spray . I think it's great stuff , it goes on nice and thick too .

As Sean said, do you homework . If you don't it will bite you in the arse. Stripping the car yourself will save you a packet too .
  6. Never ceases to amaze me that that someone thinks a car in that condition is worth that .
  7. I'm aware from posts on the forum in the past , that some branches have always been a bit funny with non trade people . But friendly staff have always let it go in most branches. I rang today to get a ABS sensor and was told no, that I can't be served anymore. Apparently their new policy came in to affect in November/December last year. Bit of a bummer I've been going to my local branch for years now . My friendly mechanic will have to order my parts now .
  8. Lol, no the part that looks like a headlight clip .
  9. I'm sure I read someone had bought some of these ?. The funny shaped metal part . Can someone help me out please chaps .
  10. All these expensive watches . I will stick with my 1970s eastern bloc Ruhla and my 1980s USSR Bostok . lol. Seriously I would like a tag one day .
  11. You've done yourself proud mate .
  12. I had exactly the same thing when I left the car with no battery connected. I'm expecting the same again as the car has not been run in 6 months, due to me working on it . Mine took a fair while to get back to normal running standards.

Do you think a KnN is louder Stuart ?.

Do they really make much of a difference?. Supposedly because of the carbon it intakes cooler air , but I'm not convinced they are any louder in roar intake than a KnN filter . A mate had one , I don't think there was much difference in noise .
  17. When you find it , you can come round and sort mine Chris.
  18. Yes it is Jim . 58k genuine on the clock!
  19. Lovely. My mums bloke has a 73 E Type in her garage . I keep on and on to get it out and get an mot on it .
  20. Wish you all the best Jim . I bet you will be sad when she drives away. Time to move on though as you said .
  21. I couldn't find anything on eBay either.
  22. No idea of the size Delfinis ?, so I'm not sure what to get. I've got some on order now from Heritage.
