  5. Hello Sean, guess what went on the fritz yesterday morning?? Yep - the ignition switch!! Went totally intermittent and i've had to get it swapped out for a new one this morning. Looks like you were spot on after all!!

    Hiii!

This car's number plate has my intitials!!
  7. Is that who i think it is giving you a snog!! If it is, it's a spooky co-incidence your number plate is 'EDD'........ :) or has that been mentioned before??
  8. Hello Sean, not entirely sure this could be it as the noises are definitely coming from the direction of the fuse box. When you say 'ignition switch', what do you specifically mean? Cheers!
  9. Intermittent problem with what i think may be Relay 109. Had a similar problem a little while back, engine would not fire up and there was a ticking/clicking noise coming from the fuse box when turning the engine over. This has started happening again, and the last time, it turned out to be the Knock Sensor which need replacing. This time, there's another twist. On three occasions, the engine has just cut out and I have another noise from the fuse box when this happens, but it's not the clicking noise.... it's like a child's ray-gun toy, similar to a kind of 'whirring' noise. When this has happened, i just turn the ignition off, and then just start the car up again, and it's like it never happened. All this is pointing to an ignition problem and i think i'm right in thinking that Relay 109 is what controls this. Maybe someone can confirm? Would really like to get this sorted with Christmas coming up as i have a long drive to the West Country from Surrey on Christmas Eve. The knock sensor was replaced around 18 months ago so i'm not sure if this is the culprite this time. Anyone with any input out there? Thanks Nick
  10. Pictures required please.......... :)

    Bonnet Foam?

Looking to replace the bonnet foam. Is this still available or are there any suitable alternatives out there? Seen a couple Corrados for sale here with what looks to be pristine bonnet foam (the Ice Violet and Blackberry VR6's) .... anyone know where i can get this stuff? Cheers
  12. Four new (budget admittedly) tyres and a tracking job done at Universal. Ready for the winter now.
  13. According to How Many Left - there are 9 Licenced and 8 SORN for Q2/2015.
  14. The 'Storm' and the 'VR6' badging is the wrong way round!!
  15. Very pleased to say Senor Corrado tore the MOT test a new one today...... only two minor advisories. Result!
  16. Ah.... yes. That sounds quite probable. Shame really, it might have been the most cost-effective answer.
  17. Hasn't anyone tried a 3D 'print' of a VR6 grille badge.... or has this long since been suggested?
  18. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ This!! :thumbleft:
  19. Yes, i recall this, but can't remember any of the details.
  20. Does anyone know of someone/company who can do this. Just had a quick Google and there's plenty out there but boy - do they know how to charge. One company in Addlestone wan't GBP50.00/hour plus V.A.T. and quoted around 8 hours to get the job done. So, 400 sovs plus the VAT sounds like a bit of a rip-off to me..... Has anyone done this themselves? Cheers
  21. He'll be doing the Hokey Kokey next..........
  22. What i did (or rather the garage did) to my Corrado yesterday........ Supply and fit - worn front brake discs and pads, new steering rack ends, replace gaitors, replace roll bar link arms, supply and fit 2 new rear shock absorbers. Only £504.00. Bargain!! Still, at least come MOT time in early December, it should fly through it!! :)
  23. I have regular bouts of light-headedness and blurred vision. Jumped through every hoop available but to no avail. The doctors can't seem to find out just exactly what is causing this. Had the Epley manoeuvre done but to no avail, so I'm just living with it for now. What the Epley manoeuvre does is shift calcium deposits in your inner ear 'tubes' to a place where they can rest without causing the effects they do....... providing you know you have these deposits in the fist place - my doctors can't seem to make up their minds. Wish you the best with this as it's not nice to have at all. Some days, I'm so light-headed, it's like i have a balloon in my skull.
