I'm also after a good VR6 throttle cable - several people have driven mine and insist the throttle pedal is very stiff. Kind of interested in one of these SpeedyCables ones though if they can be made!

Thanks for the update. Keen to hear how people get on fitting them as whilst I tested the prototypes got no chance to test the production ones. I mean, they should be identical - printed off the same CAD pattern on the same machine of course. My trick for fitting was but them in 'base' first (so with the bottom pushed in and the clip leaning outwards towards you) then push the top half in. They should be a nice snug fit.

That is a very good point! Might complicate things a little, if Andrew was unaware of the difference.

To be fair, given the other two cars, I'm amazed you use the Corrado at all.

It's the right idea in principle. But the thing is people do come back sometimes, even after a long absence. Plus if you auto-deleted users after a period of inactivity, all their posts would go too... and obviously there's a lot of gold in the archives. Come February/March next year it'll be two years since Chris Gaskell passed away and we sure as hell don't want his posts getting deleted.

Have you vagcom'd it yet? Could be something as simple as the cam position sensor if it's quite down on power. And where did £2,200 as a sale price come from? Didn't you just buy it for under £1,700?

I agree with the last few posters. There's never going to be any doubt that Dave got here first and came to the rescue for a lot of owners with the door handle repair kit - which, it's fair to say, is virtually a legend in it's own right on this forum. And anyone who's dealt with Dave know's he's a totally decent chap who is always good to his word and makes high quality parts for forum members. But if fla is willing to continue this work and produce other parts, that perhaps Dave has no interest in making or simply hasn't the time to do so, then I'm all for it - again, all it does is help keep our cars on the road. I hope some sort of amicable arrangement can be made between our resident stainless merchants! I'd certainly be very happy to see more replacement parts for hard to find or obsolete parts being made.
