  1. At the end of the day it's your choice. The Skoda sounds pretty good to me but does have more miles and costs more so the A4 seems the better value proposition. Though the Superb is an extremely nice car :)
  2. Cool - will have to stick my head under the bonnet at some point over the weekend and drop you a line? Cheers :)
  3. Never thought we'd get there but - these have been ordered! I'm pretty busy for the next few days but hopefully over the weekend at some point I will be sorting out the list on a purely first come first served basis and PM'ing all those folks with a final price, payment details, etc. Once the initial batch is gone, subject to further demand, I'll commission another run with the company. Cheers.
  4. This was for sale, for half the price only a couple of months back. Clearly a dealer bought it, and stuck it up for double the price. Part of me wants to seethe but part of me thinks these crazy prices will only help to start push up the values for everyone else so it has to be a good thing. I think? :)
  5. That would be extremely awesome. My coil pack I picked up from VW cheap from my friendly parts guy a couple of years ago as 'new old stock' so it *should* be fine, but I just want to rule it out. Shall I fire you over a PM? I'd cover your postage charge of course and then get it back to you once I ruled it out. Cheers.
  6. Does anyone happen to have a known good, working, and reasonably priced Mass Airflow Sensor and Coilpack going for a VR6? Looking to get to the bottom of a slight misfire that seems to happen at idle and I know these two are regular culprits for this. Cheers.
  7. No - the belt was brand new and doesn't need changing again.

    Welcome to the forum!
  9. Cripes! I didn't know Dave was looking to move this car on. Thrilled it's gone to another great home. Congratulations Chris!

    turbo or not

That looks superb! Have to say a friend of mine just got a same sort of era Impreza WRX estate with the prodrive performance pack. Had a drive of it today and it was really good fun - drove really nice, and put a real smile on your face when you put your foot in it :)

    turbo or not

The top end of that money could put you in a BMW 335i - much rather have something like that than an Evo personally.

    Wide bodied VR6

Poor Corrado :( Always makes me sad to see them molested like that!
  14. Belongs to a member on here though I forget his username! So certainly an enthusiast owned car :) Ahh.. here it is.. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=85312

    turbo or not

Could certainly turbo it with that sort of money, no problems there!
  16. Have to say whilst it's my only car (well not strictly true.. but will be again very soon) it doesn't get used all that often because I now live very close to work and walk / cycle every day. Which is really helping slow the ageing process on the old girl :)
  17. Thing is I often flit between thinking 'money no object - Corrado gets what Corrado needs' but then there are times when I see these sorts of prices and think "Wait a minute.." - sometimes you do just have to draw the line, and I'm onboard with any efforts to reproduce parts which rarity has caused their value on places like eBay to go sky high! My car is not just a car - it is a hobby, and it's been the gateway to years of happy memories and I've made some great friends through it.. but sometimes you have to apply a sense of perspective. But similarly if you have the money to spend, then kudos - spend and enjoy :)
  18. Think I might be going on the Sunday, assuming swiftkid can make it, to pick up some Corrado bits!
  19. Very old thread about this :) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=8883
  20. They are available from Volkswagen Classic Parts.. or at least they were very recently.. and were not stupid money.
  21. Has anyone contacted classic parts in Germany? Wonder if we guaranteed a certain number of orders whether they would commission an order?
  22. Good work - can't wait to see it all painted :)
  23. That's irritating I'm sure. Glad you got it sorted though dude :) No breaking thread for you now then ;)
  24. So what was wrong with your motor then mate? What did you do to fix it?
