So... bump? :)
-
Not paying tax will help give you a bit more spending money!!
-
I'll take a guess and say they were not driving at the speed limit!
-
Yep - seems to be around the £2,000 - £3,000 mark to get a good full respray done. Plus the cost of seals, trim, etc as Tom says. Have been doing a little research as I'm saving up to get this very job done on my own Corrado..
-
A Speedmaster Professional is one of the reasons why this needs to make way too ;)
-
Ello mate.. it's quite a nice small watch to suit my girly wrists - 40mm including the crown I think.. :)
-
The NATO is the one it's pictured wearing, and the one in the bag is the original one it came with - a sort of green canvas jobbie :) If you're interested in the watch I am happy to swap it back to the other strap prior to sending :)
-
You say that like I'm some kind of lothario mate! The truth is far, far less interesting. Sigh.

Sunshine would definitely help! :) No girlfriend.. so no help there!

Brooklands Limited Edition Prints - CCGB National Day 2012
Jim replied to CrazyDave's topic in Parts for Sale
Hi Dave.. apologies, I need to pay you for the print you had made up for me. Could you PM me your bank details? With petrol prices as they are I think it'll work out about the same to just get it posted instead.. so should be a total of £41.50? -
Keep it Jake, for gods sake. As you say you'd only throw it away modding a MK3 golf estate.. which would essentially be throwing your money down the drain as a MK3 Golf is never going to be as desirable as a Corrado. Remeber the Golf is your daily... drive it, fix it when it needs it.. otherwise forget about it. You've got a great base to work from on the Corrado - now stop procrastinating and pull that damn advert. Fix the niggling problems and enjoy the car.

Shove it :)

Hi all.. have the following for sale! Seiko SNE095P2 Solar Quartz. I bought this only a few months ago at £125 as an impulse buy. I subsequently stuck a NATO strap on it (as pictured) but have kept the original which will be included. As you can see it's boxed with all manuals, receipt, etc. Great all round daily watch but I have several other which are just not getting enough use, and which I prefer so this needs to go. It's in virtually as new condition as you would hope :) £85 posted! Cheers.

One option is to buy a later type exhaust and change the hangers on it so it'll fit to the car.. i.e. remove your old hangers off the old exhaust and weld them onto the new one! I have heard of people doing this before to get round this problem.

I'm going to guess automatic spoiler switch? ;)
-
It does make you wonder - I found the Murcielago VERY intimidating to drive, very heavy, very wide, limited visibility, etc.. if the Murcielago is supposed to be easy to drive I hate to think what the Diablo or the Countach were like to drive :|
-
I bet it got a lot of attention. Were you using it as your daily then for the duration of looking after it?
-
I think that's a slightly simplistic view of things. There is so much that has been done to that car and it's absolutely pristine. 20BHP off the power figure and it's immediately not worth the asking price? Bear in mind the power to weight element here too - carbon fiber roof and bonnet go some way to shaving a substantial amount of weight off the thing which will make 280BHP in that much more than 280BHP in an original Corrado!
-
Can't believe he's selling it. You wouldn't believe the attention this car gets at shows and deservedly so... absolutely stunning!
-
I agree with the comments about them feeling like a Corrado - just louder, faster, and way more fun to drive. I can't explain it but the Corrado does feel like it has some kind of DNA in there somewhere - in the way the car feels when you drive it, your driving position, etc. So was it the V8 or the V10? Looks like the V10 with those wheels.. and c'mon, tell us some more about how you came to be driving that for a while?? :)
-
Welcome back :)
-
Tell your friend to take his money and look elsewhere - he'll find better for less.. and let the other guy sit on the car, if he can afford to do so.
-
Had been wondering mate - good to hear it's been dealt with though and being a techie bod myself would be interesting to know what was done :) Something to do with indexes on the database and so forth?
-
Repost it. I can only assume it got lost in the database migration that's going on at the moment.. (I saw the thread and replied to it.. but that's gone now too). For what it's worth I didn't personally like the idea - I don't think we have enough alloy wheel sales to justify their own subforum!
