A shed :) Still enjoying it, even though I still wish I'd got a petrol one.

Don't think it'd be a bad idea in principle but I guess the problem is there's historically thousands and thousands of posts which, relocating would be quite a painful process.

Yep - spot on regarding the alloys. Uncommon option from VW. I've always rather liked them myself :) If you hanker after a set, they used to be (though not sure if they still are) available from VW Classic Parts for a not unreasonable amount of money! As others have said though, it is strong money for what otherwise looks like a totally bog standard VR6. Worth it for bragging rights, if not much else.. I'd be terrified to put any miles on the thing!

Date of first registration is August 2012 :)

All the radio stations (and there's plenty of entertainment there), plus iPlayer too.. I would say the License Fee is a little on the pricey side but overall I think the BBC gives better entertainment overall than Sky given the relative price comparison!

Love to see some pictures of the prototype / sample on a car!

Pretty sure the radiator is available from VW Classic Parts. I just wouldn't contemplate putting in a second hand radiator as you just have no idea how long it'll last.

Could you look for a Galaxy VR6 for sale on Autotrader or similar, and just use the number plate from that to give to the dealer? :)

Where did you buy the sensors from? VW? -
Another vote for coil-pack as a culprit. Would definitely try to borrow one as a test prior to buying one as a replacement. Very easy to swap as well.

I've always read a number of comments about there being some wire at the back of the stereo that either becomes unplugged or incorrectly plugged which can also cause this. Does it have the OEM head unit installed still, or is it an aftermarket unit? As a cheap starter, it would certainly be worth replacing the spoiler control module which I think lives somewhere inside the dash down / under the steering wheel as these rarely fail so should be plentiful from anyone breaking a Corrado. *edit* Here we go: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?49300-Definitive-Guide-to-Corrado-Stereo-Wiring-Mods-pls-sticky! "Don't connnect the blue/white one to anything or allow it to short to the body as it'll stop the spoiler working." *edit* Reasonably priced spoiler module from another early Corrado: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Corrado-Electric-Spoiler-Relay-535919845B-/132331452675?hash=item1ecf91b903:g:u80AAOSwB-1Yy8Tm

Whgy did they never find an alloy wheel design that suited the VW Corrado

Personally I think the Sebrings, Speedlines and Solitudes all look fantastic on the Corrado to be honest. Estorils.. probably not so much! -
That seems like a fairly significant increase.. as impressive as it is, I'd be worried about the longevity of the motor with those kinds of gains.

Speedo Binnacle Cover Reproductions - NOW AVAILABLE (December 2016)

Sorry guys - must get onto this ASAP. My forgetfulness is chronic! -
I think probably my Corrado G60, which was the second Corrado I owned. I ended up parting with it as I just didn't really have the money to look after it in the required way and wasn't as hands on / competent with DIY as I am now. Plus I was using it as a daily driver. But it was a really clean example (pretty sure it had zero rust anywhere) and had an extremely large amount of work done on it, drove superbly, and was very quick (rolling roaded consistently at about 207BHP).

So glad to see someone use this company. I've known about them for years and have posted about them a number of times on this forum but wasn't sure if anyone had ever actually used their services - glad to see they're as good as I'd read! Nice work.

Can only echo what's been said. Hope you get a painless / easy sale at such a difficult time.

Speedo Binnacle Cover Reproductions - NOW AVAILABLE (December 2016)

Hey - sorry, was on holiday and missed your other post. Just not as active on here any more since parting with my Corrado either! Willing to knock out another small run of these as I think I could probably get 10 pairs or so sold. Leave it with me and I'll get it priced up. -
Quite. I appreciate people thinking of other members but supporting / endorsing this could land us in the ****house so... afraid this needs to go.
-
Nice! Looks like a really decent company to deal with. Thanks for sharing!
-
The things you see in the video! They didn't have under-dash trays, they had those kneebars. Presumably some US mandated thing for crash protection.
-
I'm ok thanks mate... only let my Corrado go finally a few months ago. Can't deny I do miss it a bit though! As you say, prices do seem to be on the up for the good ones!
-
Heh.. hello dude.. long time no see.
-
To be fair I was only ever able to dedicate time, and regurgitated / recycled knowledge.. I've never been as technical or knowledgeable as many of the other folks on here. But I do appreciate the sentiment and comments all the same :)

I'd certainly be up for that. I like that this forum is generally enthusiastic for a variety of makes and marques and not just blindly interested in JUST the Corrado. Supercharged does indeed still have a brace of Corrado's though I know one of them hasn't moved in quite a few years.. he's been kept busy with real life and work and stuff which is why he's a very infrequent visitor here these days.
