Thing is none of the cars you've got or are moving on are gonna lose money.. 996's can't get any cheaper, and stuff like the RS4 must be only going one way right now so... has to be better than money in the bank!
-
Agreed. Really, really fine example. Hope to see you in another one some day Dave, though as we all know, they can be a hell of a burden.
-
Should go up immediately I think. Have you checked your Panjo queue to see if it's even there?
-
Welcome to the forum! You are right in that a lot of parts should be interchangeable. Some folks on here have access to the VW parts catalogue and should be able to confirm, if you want to list up some parts you specifically need, we can try and confirm for you?
-
Good luck Jim! Hope you get some positive feedback at the MOT, not to mention a 12 month ticket!

RS4. As a daily. I hate you. :)

Can't wait to see it.

It was on Autotrader too but that advert has gone... so maybe it has been sold?
-
Not so sure I would be in a hurry to pick up one of these ex-lease... My feeling is with them having been so cheap to acquire they will largely all have been abused. I am sure the engine is strong but would worry about what was waiting in the drive train once it was out of warranty!

Nice wheel and colour combo - really like these Golf R's :) Kicking myself for not getting on the bandwagon when all the cheap lease deals were doing the rounds!
-
Seems a crazy time to sell really, unless his hand has been forced. Prices on Corrado's like that are only going to one one way at this point. I'll lay bets now that a trader will pick that up and it'll be up for sale on a 'specialist' forecourt for 10k in a few weeks time.

Reopened at BILLCOR's request :)

Indeed. The heater matrix sits in a compartment which is closed off by a flap - as you slide it over from blue to red, it just opens the flap to allow air pass through it, to put warm air out of the cabin. I wonder perhaps if that flap isn't opening fully, reducing the amount of heat you actually get out of it?
-
Yeah - seems the same for me. It's just weird as it definitely never used to happen prior to the engine being out and doesn't appear to happen in other gears. I guess that would point it to an alignment issue?!
-
Like the look of them - will give them a call :) Cheers.

I guess it's quite possible it's engine mounts. Hmm. Wonder how hard they are to change. Time to do some searching through the forum :)

How long was the turn around?

Hi.. Looking to get a set of VR6 injectors overhauled. Just wondered who folks have been using (as I know a bunch of people have had them done on here in recent months) and what sort of prices you were paying per injector? Thanks.
-
No one?
-
Really don't see many in that colour. Looks superb :)
-
Mine don't have that additional plate as pictured, but they're not only extremely heavy (many times more than carpet mats) but also have little pointy studs the whole length of the mat on the underside. In short, once they're plopped into the footwell, they don't go anywhere!
-
How not to endear yourself or your car to your local MOT tester.. lol :)
-
That pretty much sums up most of our experiences at VW dealerships over the years as well :)
-
The only thing there is that there's loads of studs / dimples on the other side and I'd worry they'd potentially damage any logo's embossed into carpets? But yeah - not a bad idea!
-
Yep - think they're the winter mats. I have a set for my Corrado :) No idea if they're worth much though, especially as most folks around here use their cars during the summer months only!
