hi took the corrado to the garage today for new axle bushes.got it on the ramp and found the ns rear spring is snapped in the middle,do i just replace the springs or just fit a new set of coilovers.also noticed the both inner cv boots are splitting so they need doing,also fuel pipes on pump are on the way out.you see so much on a ramp

i bought some gsf top mounts for my 16v,turns out they are genuine in the box

is it the orange bit,i thought 8v and 16v blocks are the same.have you pushed it down onto the tube

i dont realy want to take the chance for £8.50 i dont want the car stuck on the ramp

its not a bad price then,i bet if i didnt get new the old uns would be knackerd then i will be stuck.

hi got some bushes for the axle bushes on my 1990 16v,i reckon i had beter get new bolts and nuts aswell.anyone got an idea on price .

ive bought some first line bushes,took them out the packet and they have got the vw part number on the rubber.vw quoted £48.28 each ive had them both for a lot less than that.anyone no where i can get the bolts and nuts other than vw

i work for unipart so i can get unipart bushes (not sure who makes them tho) or firstline which is normaly good stuff.i just dont want to buy rubbish and have to fit new uns in 12 months again.thats why i was going to fit poly but so many people on here say not to

i can get pattern cheap are there any good uns out there tho, like my strut tops where gsf but genuine vw in there box

i had to cut a bit off mine,i need to get some heavy duty exhaust clamps next tho as i cant get it to seal proper as the clamp starts to bend when i realy tighten it

hi has anyone fitted aftermarket axle bushes,ive heard genuine are expensive.just had some gsf strut tops and they have got the genuine part number stamped on them,so are there any axle bushes the same.boxed as aftermarket but genuine in box

just stripped my brakes on my 16v to fit some ebc sport discs the groved and dimple type.turns out mine are 280mm so someone must of changed um sometime.the ebc discs will be up for sale soon if anyone interested

ive been thinking about new shocks i cant afford expensive uns at the moment tho and them cheap coilovers on ebay are supposed to be rubbish.so you dont think the axle bush could be the cause.i might get some of them jom coilovers off ebay.i dont drive like a nutter so they could be ok

yer its lowered on standard shocks.it didnt catch on arch when i first owned the car.its cutting the tread and sounds very bad if i hit a bump

hi been in the car for a 140 mile drive with 4 people in it.the drivers side rear wheel has been hiting the front of the rear arch when going over bumps.it sounds nasty.could it be the axle bush or shocker advise needed asap please

mines due soon,they will advise on rear axle bushes and fuel lines as they hav for last 3 years

tested the alternator and its showing good on the tester and putting out 14.2volts under load .happy days

fitted a new regulator today £12.50 off ebay.i didnt remove the alternator to fit it.the bushes looked worn out.
