That looks great, it's amazing how many times the sun ends up between the visors :sunny: So do these come of a 96 Passat? If I call to a scrap yard do I need any tools to take it off?
-
Comming on nicely then, when do you think it'll be ready?
-
i got mine on ebay for £550. they came with wheel adapters to fit a BMW though. adapters for the corrado cost me £225 and took me 7 weeks to get them. although the wheels were all sealed, 3 of them went flat so I had to take the wheels to get the tyres taken of & reseal the lips with silicone :mad2: . OSV told me that the polished rims need a lot of TLC but I think they are worth it to a Corrado.
-
Another good one is to get either Audi A3 or Seat back brake callipers instead of Mk4 ones. The part numbers are the same but they are cheaper  . i got a second hand set of A3 callipers on ebay for £19 delivered :D Where is the best place to get an uprated rear ARB then?
-
That's the stuff I got :) Excuse my ignorance but What are they? what do they do and of course how much?
-
The worst £ for £ mod I've done to the car was a new 'Superchip' £320, for no noticable difference :(
-
3rd gear from 40 - 97mph :D And of course it's looks (not only the VT6 of course)
-
Yeah, I suppose we could split the thread into cosmetic and performance mods. The gear oil I bought was talked about on here years ago. IIRC it was about £14 per bottle but the Corrado needed 1 1/2 bottles. It mede my gear change feel much smoother & slicker.
-
Just wondering whats the best £ for £ modification you've done on your car. Things like manifold/turbo/super chatger/24v conversion, coilovers/LSD, B&M/K&N air intake. It could easily be something that is a lot cheaper to do like a simple air filter/uprated lights/wiper upgrade cos as I said, the best £ for £ One of the best £ for £ mods I've done was fixing my headlight switch £5 and changing the gearbox oil £28 :D

No need for a ramp to check it, just get down on your knees & look under. (maybe say a prayer while your down there :) ) The pump is exposed under there, you can see the fuel lines running from the tank into it and then they run up to the engine. Have the car idle and you'll hear the pump working
-
Good to hear you've got things sorted, even found time to do a little cosmetic work :)
-
It's not an easy job trying to keep a Corrado in tip top shape. It takes a lot of dedication, patience and money. For what its worth, I think you've done a cracking job on that car so far. If you do decide to sell up you should get more than you paid for it anyway. Good luck with it...
-
It's shinny alright  looks promising. Hope it turns out as you expect. When do you think you'll get it back?
-
Might be your fuel pump, its just under the drivers side back seat under the car (if that makes sense). You can see it if you look under the car
-
Colour coded the little round key surround on the boot Car passed it's MOT yesterday
-
Looks like a pole fell on it!
-
I think your car looks good from any angle... just get the phone camera out and start snapping. Then you'll prob delete most of them but you might find a few gems in there :)
-
I was thinking the same :) when you click on a pic, it opens up near enough the same size as the preview. all the cars are looking very 8)
-
The car failed it's MOT earlier this week because of rough brake lines. Spent the whole evening under the car sanding them :( What a job... they weren't too bad but think I'm gonna fit copper lines all round when I put her in for the winter. Don't wanna do that again So now, she's ready for the Re-test... I'll keep you posted :D
-
Looks like a new car :) Bet it takes a bit longer putting everything back together :) Do you not have any rubbing issues with the rear wheels?
-
Amazing car throughout :notworthy: I know nothing is perfect but your car is now pretty damn close :)
-
Prob not... but it does look good :) Have to say man, the car looks superb :notworthy:
