Dox sorry i missed your link to the power runs i will have a read of that when i get a chance Chris thanks for the kind words im looking forward to just getting out now and enjoying it but yes it goes well enough and your reaction to the braking wich i believe contained some jesuses was quite funny haha I have spent two solid days detailing it it now and iv just got the finishing touches to do and ill put some pictures up ! There is a big difference between a micro fibre cloth and a drying towel Yes the 3M kit is expensive but when you have a full car to wet sand and polish i wanted good results , i bid on a kit on ebay with 3bottles of liquid and 3 of each pad , green yellow and blue ,i think i won it at 90 quid so quite alot fpr your money

Try a g3 glay mit with the g3 detailer you will never use a daft lump of clay again in your life !! Try the 3 stage 3m green yellow and blue its what i used on mine after a full respray and its come up more than exellent

Cheers dox im chuffed with it and glad its getting some nice feedback ! The throttle was the origional 2.9 corrado throttle that was machined and a bigger butterfly put in ! Not just polished like some would think works Drives great on the road first and second are pretty quick and if you keep you foot hard down it spins out of second :) after that it just pulls nice and strong all the way round and feels nice and smooth it quite a drive and with the windows down it sounds great Ill post my rolling road printouts on here later on

Ta clumpy wont be to far off then but i assume a 32 has bags more torque than mine Good stuff captain ! Try not to miss out the throttle if your doing 268 cams and schrick ! Its what lets it all breath and without it i dont think id of made that power

Thanks everyone im glad its come out well ! Clumpy what is a standard r32 power ? Vince has told me iv got 230bhp plus he recons the gearbox would be worth 30 out on the road so technically i should be able to keep up with 260ish bhp Chuggs here is a list of whats been done New chains Fresh fully rebuilt head Mk4 head gasket Schrick 268 cams Schrick manifold Big bore throttle Bmc filter Techtonics 2'1/2 system Remap 3.68 final drive Hope that helps you mate

Big update on this then as its now fully back on the road and mapped up Took the time last weekend to travel down to stealth to get the car mapped but it was nearly a wasyed journey , we had a few faults on the rollers bit managed to sort a couple really quickly but the last one a cam sensor fault we couldnt sort and it was weird it wasnt working as id replaced the cam sensor not long ago !! Anyway it turned out to be the plastic washer that fits between the cam sprocket and the bolt wich the cam sensor reads from that we had mixed up when we built the engine meaning all the time it was running a safe map and vince reccomed running 40 hp down ! To cut a long story short vince was mega kind and lent us a little run aroumd to get us to banbury and from there we got a hotel for the night and was told to come back tomorrow so he could map it after he had taken it to bits to fit the new parts Arrived the next morning and vince was already done and he had wll and truly worked some magic as the car made 201 torque and 230.2 bhp so i was over the moon , one of the highest powers for a nasp vr iv seen for a long time so glad all the bits i researched and put togetjer worked well , vince said torque was a bit low because of cams but because the 3.68 final drive is there its still pulling like a train ! All thats left to do is clean it and go to vw festival and enjoy it

Dox it would be a pain to relocate the coolant res as it needs to be hight than the rad as far as im aware so iv just took the bar of for the moment and i have another plan lined up to sort it
